Dziękujemy WSZYSTKIM za wpłaty, nadal zbieramy na rehabilitacje naszej Arielki bo niestety nie wiemy jak długo będzie trwał jej powrót do zdrowia!

W ostatni dzień stycznia jechałam z rodziną na wakacje. Nagle na drodze znalazł się mały psiak. Auto, które jechało przede mną nie miało szansy się zatrzymać. Niewiele myśląc wyskoczyłam z auta i zabrałam jak się okazało szczeniaczka z drogi. Sprawca zatrzymał się kilka metrów dalej, był przekonany, że przejechał po kamieniu!

Postanowilismy z Panem Arturem który ją potrącił, jechać do jego znajomej lecznicy. Liczyły się minuty, sunia leżała mi na rękach i dosłownie czułam jakby odchodziło z niej życie. W lecznicy udzielono nam pierwszej pomocy. Diagnoza: wstrząs, odma płucna i prawdopodobnie uszkodzony kręgosłup. Spędziłam w klinice kilka godzin. Niestety nie było tam opieki całodobowej. Pan Artur zaproponował, że zawiezie sunię do krakowskiej lecznicy.

Nie spałam całą noc, nie wiedziałam co dalej robić.

Zadzwoniłam do mojej przyjaciółki Agaty, która odrazu postanowiła pomóc.

Umówiliśmy tomograf i rezonans we Wrocławiu. Pojawił się problem - nie mamy przecież za co. Artur zaproponował wyłożenie pieniędzy, obiecałyśmy oddać jak tylko uzbieramy całą kwotę. 

Diagnoza nie jest optymistyczna. Agata pocieszyła mnie że damy radę. Szukałyśmy rozwiązania, działamy od lat jako wolontariuszki i wiemy, że fundacje są zapchane i często brakuje im środków. Pokazałam zdjęcia w pracy. Koleżanka z biurka na przeciwko zaproponowała dom tymczasowy, jednak obawiała się kosztów ewentualnego dalszego leczenia i rehabilitacji. Kiedy już wiedziałyśmy, że możemy zabrać Arielkę z lecznicy, wsiadłyśmy w auto i pozostało pokonać nam ogromną trasę Bydgoszcz - Kraków - Bydgoszcz. I tak sunia trafiła pod naszą opiekę.

Arielka potrzebuje codziennej rehabilitacji, to dla nas ogromne koszty. Jako niezrzeszone wolontariuszki nie mamy odłożonych środków, radzimy sobie organizując bazarki oraz dzięki chojności dobrych ludzi. Dlatego musimy prosić o pomoc w opłaceniu długów, które cały czas zaciągamy.

On 31st January, I was on my way for mountain break with my family. Suddenly a small puppy appeared in the middle of the road we were driving on. The car that was right in front of us didn’t stand a chance of breaking in time. Carelessly, I jumped out of our car in the middle of the traffic and picked up, what turned out to be, a small female puppy. The perpetrator (the driver of the car in front of us) stopped few metres away and was fully convinced that he drove over a stone in the road!

Not having much time to think, Mr Artur (the driver) and I decided to go to the nearest vet emergency centre (where Mr Artur’s friend worked). At this time, every minute was precious as the puppy lied on the sleeve of my jumper and I felt that the life was escaping from her with every hard breathe she gave. She was given the first aid treatment when we arrived at the vet surgery. The diagnosis was: shock, collapsed lung and the high probability of the spinal injury. I spent several hours in the surgery, unfortunately they didn’t offer the 24hours care. Mr Artur suggested to take the puppy to the 24hour clinic in Krakow. 

I remember not having slept all night, I didn’t quite know what to do, I decided to call my friend, Agata who helped me with no hesitation. 

We arranged for the required CT and MRI scans, however there was a problem with funding of the examination which was very expensive. Mr Artur offered kindly to pay up for the initial treatment and we promised to give him the money back once we collect the required amounts. The outcome of both scans is not an optimistic one however Agata cheered me up and kept my hopes up by saying that we will get through it somehow. We were looking for a solution to this situation, we’ve been actively animal volunteering in Poland for years and we know that the animal organisations are up to their ears with the similar cases and are often running short of money. 

I showed the photos of the Puppy (named Ariel) at work and one of my colleagues offered a temporary housing for her but at the same time she was afraid that she was going to cope financially (with all the treatment and the possible costly recovery sessions). 

Once we were sure that we could take Ariel out of the Krakow Clinic, we decided to hit the road and make the hell of 900 km return journey from Bydgoszcz to Krakow. The puppy is now in our care, however she needs daily physio sessions which are very costly. As we are the unregistered animal welfare volunteers, we haven’t got any savings and we are funding our efforts through various auctions, collections and mainly through the generosity of the well-wishers. Therefore we are asking you for help with paying our ongoing debts off.
