As the festive season approaches, we are excited to continue our tradition by hosting the Akademeia Christmas Fundraiser. Throughout this season, all our efforts, including the Christmas Charity Fair on December 6th and various related initiatives and events organised by the school community, will be dedicated to supporting our fundraiser.

This year, we have chosen to support a facility situated in Ossa, near Rawa Mazowiecka, just 80km from Warsaw. This facility is devoted to aiding children from various Ukrainian orphanages who have resettled in Poland due to Russia's aggression against Ukraine. This center offers care and assistance to over 400 children aged between 3 and 18 years old.

Our awareness of this place and its significant needs came through one of our faculty members, Ms Dorota. She has been teaching Polish to foreigners for over a decade and, recently, through ‘the Warsaw University to Ukraine’ programme, extended her teaching to the children at this facility.

The funds collected will help us create a truly special holiday season for them in this difficult time.
