Nie zamrażajmy naszych serc – Ukraina nadal potrzebuje wsparcia! Przed naszymi sąsiadami obecnie najtrudniejszy okres od początku wybuchu wojny z Rosją. Do walki dołączyła zima, która już teraz doprowadza do spustoszenia nie tylko na polu bitwy, ale także tam, gdzie ludzie ciągle pozostają w swoich domach. 

Niskie temperatury, brak prądu, okien i dachów to obecna sytuacja, z jaką mierzą się mieszkańcy Ukrainy. Mróz to kolejny wróg w tej wojnie. Ogromnym problemem jest też brak prądu, który utrudnia funkcjonowanie i komunikację niemalże w całym kraju. To skutek ostatnich rosyjskich ataków skierowanych na infrastrukturę energetyczną. W odpowiedzi na bezpośrednią prośbę przedstawicieli władz Buczy, poszukujących ratunku w kryzysowej sytuacji, UN GCNP odpowiada i stara się znaleźć pomoc.

UN Global Compact Network Poland (UN GCNP) kontynuuje swoje działania pomocowe i ogłasza zbiórkę pieniężną na zakup agregatów prądotwórczych oraz materiałów budowlanych, które pozwolą zapewnić schronienie jak największej liczbie mieszkańców zrujnowanej Buczy oraz odnowić kluczowe dla infrastruktury miasta budynki. Łączna wartość materiałów i sprzętu niezbędnych w pierwszym etapie pomocy wynosi 6 mln zł. 

Zebrane środki przeznaczone zostaną na zakup:

·       53 agregatów prądotwórczych o różnej mocy od 5 kW do 100 kW, których szacunkowy koszt wynosi około 400-500 tys. zł.

·       Materiały do odbudowy dachów o szacowanej wartości około 5,5 mln zł

w tym:

o   Blacha trapezowa, blachodachówka

o   Poszycia i ołatowanie

o   Blacha płaska do obróbki

o   Łączniki do mocowania pokryć

o   Systemy orynnowania

o   Materiały uszczelniające

o   Materiały izolacyjne 

UN Global Compact Network Poland (UN GCNP), czyli polskie biuro największej inicjatywy zrzeszającej zrównoważony biznes, od początku trwania konfliktu realizuje działania wspierające uchodźców z Ukrainy, ale również mobilizuje polski i ukraiński biznes do niesienia pomocy. Teraz, gdy jest ona szczególnie potrzebna, organizacja zainicjowała zbiórkę, którą kieruje zarówno do dużych firm, mniejszych przedsiębiorców, jak i każdego z nas. 

– Bucza i Irpień stały się symbolami brutalności rosyjskiego agresora, a przekazy dokumentujące zbrodnie na ludności cywilnej obiegły kilka miesięcy temu cały świat. Nie wolno nam jednak zapomnieć, że ci, którzy przeżyli lub powrócili do podkijowskich miejscowości, potrzebują dalszego wsparcia – zarówno materialnego, jak i psychologicznego. Nadejście chłodu brutalnie uświadomiło rozmiar zniszczeń i ogrom potrzeb, sam byłem tego świadkiem podczas wizyty w Buczy kilka tygodni temu. Dlatego jako UN Global Compact Network Poland nie mogliśmy pozostać obojętni na bezpośrednie prośby o wsparcie ze strony burmistrz miasta. Gorąco zachęcamy do dołączenia do zbiórki zarówno biznes, z którym pracujemy na co dzień, jak i wszystkich, którzy chcą i mogą pomóc. Do not let our hearts get frozen - Ukraine still needs support! Our neighbours are now experiencing the most severe time since the outbreak of war with Russia. Winter has now joined the fray and is already causing havoc not only on the battlefield but also where people still stay in their homes.

Low temperatures, a bitter cold due to the lack of electricity and, in many homes, also the lack of windows and roofs is the reality currently being confronted by people living in cities in Ukraine. The cold is yet another enemy in this war. The electricity shortage is another issue, hampering the functioning and communication of almost the entire country. This is the result of recent Russian attacks targeting the energy infrastructure. In response to a request made by representatives of the Bucha authorities seeking help in a crisis situation, the UN Global Compact Network Poland is responding and striving to provide aid.

The UN Global Compact Network Poland continues its humanitarian efforts and announces a cash collection for the purchase of power generators and building materials to provide shelter to as many residents of the ruined Bucha as possible and to restore critical buildings for the town’s infrastructure. The total value of the materials and equipment necessary in the first stage of the aid amounts to PLN 6 million.

The funds raised will be allocated to the purchase of:

·      53 power generators of various capacities from 5 kW to 100 kW, with an estimated cost of approximately PLN 400-500,000.

·      Materials for roof reconstruction with an estimated value of approximately PLN 5.5 million

including:

o   Trapezoidal sheets, metal roofing sheets

o   Roof sheating and cladding

o   Flat sheets to be processed

o   Fittings for fixing roofing sheets

o   Gutter systems

o   Sealing materials

o   Insulating materials

UN Global Compact Network Poland has been carrying out activities in support of refugees from Ukraine since the beginning of the war across the eastern border but also motivates Polish and global businesses to provide aid. Now, when it is desperately needed, the organisation has organised a whip-round addressed to large companies, smaller entrepreneurs and each of us.

– Bucha and Irpin have become symbols of the brutality of the Russian aggressor, and messages showing the crimes against the civilian population spread around the world a few months ago. However, we must not forget that the survivors or those who have managed to return to the villages near Kyiv need further support - both material and psychological. The arrival of the cold has harshly revealed the extent of the damage and the immensity of the needs; I witnessed this personally during a visit to Bucha a few weeks ago. For this reason, as the UN Global Compact Network Poland, we could not ignore the direct requests for support from the town’s mayor. We wholeheartedly encourage both the business we cooperate with daily and everyone willing and able to help to join the collection.
