Kilka dni temu, obchodziliśmy drugą rocznicę funkcjonowania Hostelu Interwencyjnego (fotorelacja poniżej) i w "prezencie" otrzymaliśmy rachunek za gaz. Kiedy już uporaliśmy się z poprzednim rachunkiem tak teraz jest kolejne omal dwukrotnie wyższy.

Po co nam gaz kiedy jest tak ciepło? Budynek który otrzymaliśmy z Urzędu Miasta, był (jak się później okazało) zalany. Dwa lata nie był używany. Zimna cegła niestety uniemożliwiała nam remonty. Budynek musi być ogrzewany, na zasadzie cyrkulacji i wymiany powietrza.

A few days ago, we’ve been celebrating the second anniversary of our Intervention Hostel (see our

photo report below) and as a special kind of a „gift”, we’ve received a huge bill for gas, that we use to heat our building. As soon as we managed to pay one bill, the next bill has arrived, two

times bigger. While left unpaid, it will tresult in a cut off of gas deliveries to us.

Why do we need gas heating at summer? The building, rented to us by the City of Łódź,

was flooded in the past and never repaired later. The house was standing still by two years unused,

which has conserved or even made worse the technical status of the building. Now the heating is

necessary to dry it up, before next repair works can be performed.
