Like every year, I celebrate my birthday on September 13th.

I like celebrating, I enjoy gifts, and I am most happy when my friends and acquaintances help me fulfill my musical dreams - supporting concerts and initiatives of the Good Music Foundation. The foundation organizes about 20 concerts a year, relying mostly on grant. However, grants have their limitations.

This year I have a dream that does not fit into grant applications.

I would like to plan now a concert that will take place... next year.

I dream of a concert of an organ duo - Agata and Winfried Lichtscheidel. The couple lives in Germany - Landsberg, Bavaria. Every day they play the beautiful 4-manual organ of the main city church - Stadtpfarrkirche Mariae Himmelfahrt. Plus they have three daughters!

Mr. and Mrs. Lichtscheidel are active in concerts and recordings. Last year, a CD with music by Marcel Dupré performed by Winfried was released.

Germans have a way of planning everything well in advance - that's why we have already set the date for Agata and Winfried's concert. We will start preparing grant applications for next year's Festivals in November. I feel responsible for next year's Festival and I would like to secure the budget for this concert now, regardless of funding from ministerial or local government grants.

For me, one of the greatest joys in the work of the Good Music Foundation is the extraordinary group of Friends of Good Music, i.e. people who support the Good Music Foundation regularly. I dream that this group will expandi and I believe that soon some of our concerts will be financed by the Friends of Good Music.

But let's start step by step with this one extraordinary concert by a married duo.

I would really like everyone who wants to give me a birthday present to join this collection - it will make me very happy.

Thanks to you, a unique concert will take place - in the summer of 2024 at the Church of Peace in Świdnica.

Therefore, the best birthday gift for me will be supporting the Good Music Foundation - and at the same time organizing the Agata and Winfried Lichtscheidel Concert.

Why The Church of Peace?

This beautiful Church - a UNESCO monument attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world throughout the year. Built 370 years ago, constantly restored by a team of art conservators, it arouses incredible emotions.

We are very fortunate to have been organizing organ concerts here since 2016 - thanks to the kindness and support of the hosts - Bishop Waldemar Pytel and Mrs. Bożena Pytel.

THE ORGAN

The Schlag&Söhne company built an organ in the Church of Peace to show what they can do. This is where houndred years ago investors could come to see what a modern and extremely colorful instrument the company from Świdnica could build.

The Church of Peace is also an extraordinary concert hall - wooden walls and floors make the performer feel like he is on stage, and countless angels painted on the ceiling and walls accompany every phrase of the music performed here.

2. You were planning to give me jewelry (husband, possible secret admirer ;) ) - silver and gold went up ;) pay PLN 400 or more.

3. A spa voucher seemed to be a good idea - I really like relaxing spa treatments, but I will give up this pleasure in favor of a concert, and your payment of PLN 200 or more will allow more people to enjoy great music.

4. You wanted to invite me to the theater or opera - I would love to go, but this time I prefer to go to a concert at the Church of Peace :) pay PLN 100 or more :)

5. You wanted to bring good wine - I love it, but I will say no this time: pay PLN 70 or more.

6. You know how I like receiving beautiful flowers - everything for the concert!: pay PLN 50 or more.
