Prosić jest nam niezręcznie, bo wiemy, że w naszym mieście jest wielu potrzebujących. 

My też staramy się pomagać. Oferujemy przybyłym z Ukrainy darmowe napoje, czas i przestrzeń. Codziennie odwiedzają nas osoby, żeby chwilę odetchnąć, wypić kawę lub herbatę i skorzystać z internetu. 

Poza Ogniwem jesteśmy wolontariuszami na dworcu, pomagamy jako kierowcy, pracujemy na centrali telefonicznej, segregujemy dary, wspieramy zbiórki i zrzutki. 

Jednak nie da się ukryć, że od początku wojny nasze obroty nie wystarczają na opłacenie podstawowych rachunków. Nasi klienci i klientki są teraz gdzie indziej i przeznaczają swoje pieniądze na doraźną pomoc humanitarną. 

Jednocześnie mamy perspektywy na zrobienie kilku fajnych rzeczy – zarówno dla uchodźców, jak i dla lokalnej społeczności i lewicowej bańki. 

Zwracamy się do Was, jeśli macie środki, którymi możecie się z nami podzielić – dajcie nam wytchnienie.

Możecie też wspierać nas w sposób konwencjonalny, kupując książki w naszej księgarni i przychodząc do naszego lokalu przy Smolki 11a.

HELP OGNIWO HELP OTHERS

Dear friends,

we are writing this e-mail to you because Spółdzielnia Ogniwo, the friendly coop that many of you have visited and supported in the past, can hardly pay its bills any more. It is not easy to ask you for a favor in the face of the war and the humanitarian crisis that Kraków and the whole country are facing at the moment.

One of our main goals has always been helping those in need. Now we offer free drinks, our time and space to visitors from Ukraine. People who have escaped from the war-torn country come to Ogniwo every day to take a break in their difficult lives as refugees, simply to sit, chat, drink coffee and use the Internet.

Besides that, members of the Coop are volunteers at the reception points at the Kraków train station, we act as drivers, help people connect to the services that they need, we support collections and participate in fundraisers.

However, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, what we have been earning is not enough to pay the bills. Our customers are now elsewhere, allocating their money to the much needed emergency humanitarian aid.

We don’t want to be forced to give up on our efforts to help refugees and we want to keep acting for the good of the local community and promote the leftist spirit in the society.

So hey, if you have some money that you could use to help us in these difficult times – please do, and we will use it wisely.
