Together with Szlachetna Paczka, this year we aim to support two families:

Mrs. Zofia - Wybór Rodziny - opis Rodziny - Szlachetna Paczka

Mrs. Zofia is an artist, that for years worked as a director of non-commercial films. Unfortunately, life wasn’t always easy to her, death of her mother, abuse in the family. Her adult son becomes aggressive when drunk, and his partner’s interference makes it difficult for her to leave the house or interact with neighbours. Despite this, she remains active in the community of Warsaw‑Uprising veterans, attending meetings and supporting historical‑memory projects.

Financially, Zofia’s situation is precarious: a monthly income of 2 423 PLN leaves only 494 PLN after rent and medication, while her projected pension will be under 100 PLN because most of her career was on contract work.

Mrs. Zofia cares for two cats that were left to her by her son. Expenses for cat food and litter take up a large share of her budget.

Basic needs include:

1. Washing machine

2. Cat litter and food

3. Mop

Ms. Agata with family - Wybór Rodziny - opis Rodziny - Szlachetna Paczka

Agata is a young, energetic single mother who is rebuilding her life after leaving an abusive partner. She cares for four children: Piotr (8), Kacper (6), Tomasz (5) and Anna (3) and is expecting a fifth child. The former partner, who served an eight‑month prison term for domestic violence, is now under a court issued restraining order, but he still withholds child support. Agata receives only the 800 + benefit and other social allowances.

Basic needs include:

1. Food

2. Winter clothing and footwear

3. Gondola‑type stroller

We want to prove once again that we can make someone’s holidays exactly how they should be – free of worries, without sadness, and filled with joy and hope as we step into the New Year with a positive outlook.
