As in the previous years, we would like to participate in a Noble Box project 2021. We believe this project does not need to be presented to most of you, because through years it became one of the most recognizable support program for those in need in Poland.

As every year, we have a chance to engage in action and to help families which really struggle.

Noble Box is a multidimensional project, so there are several possibilities of engagement and help. The most common form is to have the package funded for one of the families in need. In the past year, due to a pandemic the number of families in need has increased as well. We also have decided to join forces to make bigger impact and teamed up with other teams from BU Finance and instead of chose only one Family, we wanted to take some risk and picked up two Families – self mothers and their children’s, as we believe we can repeat our money/gifts collection from last year J 

Of course we understand and appreciate this year may be another difficult one for many of us, however if you’d like to participate in Szlachetna Paczka here are some more details about our chosen Familie’s:

1. Mrs Urszula lives with her children: Rafał ( 37 years old) and Anna ( 16 years old). Rafał is an intellectually disabled person, therefore he requires the help of his mother. The family's life was stable for many years. Urszula's husband worked professionally, and she looked after the house and raising children. She had a lot of support and help from her parents-in-law. Unfortunately, when my husband's parents died, the drama began. The husband began to abuse alcohol. The situation was very serious. There were frequent quarrels, and even physical and mental violence against her and her children. As a result of this, the man was sent to a prison many times. Then the family had a moment of quiet life, but after his release, everything started anew. Urszula could not count on help from anyone from her family, but she tried to fight for the peace of her loved ones. For a year now, her husband has had to leave home under a court order and is forbidden from approaching his family. The family's financial situation is very difficult. They live in very difficult conditions in a small house that requires renovation. Mrs Urszula’s son requires care and help in carrying out everyday activities, so Mrs Urszula is unable to work. The family lives on benefits (alimony, social pension, family allowance and 500+) in the total amount of PLN 2,493. After deducting the costs of living and treatment (in the total amount of PLN 916), they are left with PLN 526 per person

1. Mrs Oktawia brings up four children ( Katarzyna, 19 years old; Irena, 14 years old; Wojciech 2 years old and the newborn – Teresa) alone. As a child, the woman had a serious traffic accident, the consequences of which she still feels today. Surgeries were needed, but despite having performed them, it still cannot function properly. Mrs Oktawia has serious difficulties with movement and eye and hand coordination. All this makes even the performance of many daily duties very difficult. I need the support and help of others. Despite health difficulties, the woman led a relatively stable life for several years. The partner worked professionally, and she looked after the house and children. The family lived with Mrs Oktawia's parents, on whom she could always count. Grandparents helped to look after their grandchildren and supported her in their daily duties. The family's situation changed dramatically a few years ago when the grandparents died. Unfortunately, the relationship with the partner did not survive either. All the duties fell on Mrs Octavia, and additionally, she recently gave birth to a child. A new family member requires special care and attention. The eldest daughter helps a lot in everyday duties and taking care of younger siblings. The family lives on child benefits (alimony, family allowance, 500+ benefit) and on a social pension and care allowance in the total amount of PLN 3,976. After deducting the costs of living and treatment (PLN 1660), there is still PLN 463 per person for life.
