17.03 - we have surgery planned for 30th March. During it, some samples will be taken from the nose and hind paws for histopathology. This should once and for all prove with which of two suspects we are dealing now. Also, this should solve the feline mammary hyperplasia issue once and for all.
16.03 - We have biopsy results. Biopsy comment does not exclude cancer fully but it is highly improbable in such a young cat. More probable is Feline mammary hyperplasia. The condition is treated by a routine spay. We wait for a comment from the doctor still.
14.03 - Last vet visit: FIV/FEL - negative results (yey!)
Biopsy done - we wait for results
We have two possible suspects - Cryptococcosis (although we did not find fungi in sample from the nose) and autoimmunological disease.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Hello Pride,
For the last two weeks, my fellow Lions have proven many times that nothing is bigger than the heart of a big cat. I know you did a lot lately and I realize that the tragedy taking place in Ukraine is bigger than what I am writing about, but maybe you can find some more place in your hearts for this cat in need of support.
Actually, this is rather a microcat. Rysia weights whole big three kilograms. She was taken from the streets by my neighbor and she suffers from...well, here is the problem. Something is happening as her nose and hind legs are swollen, and if to believe the witnesses, they are like this for the last three months.
I am a cat person myself, I had my time with all kinds of cat issues including sick kidneys, Epilepsia, and rare parasites. But I have never seen something like this, and neither has my vet. He declared that for fourteen years of his career he had never met a cat like this.
Blood tests are perfectly normal but the cat insists on staying swollen. Since Rysia is apparently a very inconclusive cat, I need to go to a better vet, do some tests and possibly take a few RTG pictures. This means my neighbor needs to spend cooooins, a lot of coins.
Before you ask - yes my neighbor has a job. She is ZTM bus driver. She does not earn tons of coins, so I decided to help. I still remember trying to diagnose my cats and how much it costs. If you are a dog/cat/any pet owner you would understand. I have already gathered litter, some food, transporter, bowls, scratching post, etc. We did basic blood tests (inconclusive) and USG (not pregnant at least, yey!), eyes and ears treatment also. So basic cat set is already here.
I still need the diagnosis (coins), a cat net for windows (coins again), sterilization (and some more coins), vaccinations (as you probably realized by now...coins). And here I am asking for your help.
Here is the fundraiser I have created. You can donate to Rysia. I will be happy if I get the whole sum, and I will be happy if I get part of it. So if you still have some funds stashed for such occasions do not hesitate to support the microcat.
Thank You!
Joanna
