Komitet Wsparcia Obywatelskiego „Parasolki” to kobieca inicjatywa, której celem jest pomoc osobom doznającym dyskryminacji, szykan i represji ze względu na zaangażowanie w prodemokratyczne działania społeczne i polityczne. Potrzebujemy środków na ten cel - bardzo prosimy o wsparcie! Organizujemy pomoc prawną, finansową, medyczną dla wszystkich, którzy jej potrzebują. Już w kilku miastach w Polsce udało nam się znaleźć i zapewnić reprezentację prawną dla wzywanych na czerwcowe przesłuchania oraz w inny sposób wesprzeć osoby szykanowane za aktywność prodemokratyczną. Swoim działaniem pragniemy udowodnić, że solidarność jest, znów, naszą bronią. Nie uznajemy podziałów, nie wymagamy przynależności do żadnych grup czy inicjatyw, z dumą i wdzięcznością korzystamy z pomocy międzypokoleniowej. W Radzie Patronackiej naszego Komitetu zgodziły się uczestniczyć między innymi: Henryka Krzywonos, Ewa Łętowska, Danuta Wałęsa, Ewa Woydyłło-Osiatyńska, Ludwika Wujec. Pomysł narodził się wśród organizatorek i uczestniczek Ogólnopolskiego Strajku Kobiet, jednak sam komitet jest formacją od Strajku Kobiet niezależną. We need sources and resources to help people – please help us! Your donations can make our much-needed work even more effective. We organize and distribute legal, financial and medical aid for everyone needing it as a consequence of her or his pro-democratic activity. To date, we have organized legal aid in cities and towns across Poland where police interrogations have followed recent street detentions in June, the result of street mobilizations against costly, divisive public rituals by the ruling Law and Justice party. We, in Parasolki, do not accept social divisions; we don’t require membership in any specific group or initiative; we want to provide coverage, helping in the broadly understood civilian opposition to growing threats from our Polish government (erosion of women’s rights; restrictions that have been newly passed into law against previously open public gatherings, environment devastation in the Białowieża national forest, a UNESCO world natural heritage site, etc.). Invitations to our advisory council have been accepted by such authorities as Danuta Wałęsa, legendary Solidarity activists Henryka Krzywonos and Ludwika Wujec, Ewa Łętowska (former Constitutional Tribunal judge) and the psychologist and author Ewa Woydyłło-Osiatyńska. Our conception took root among organizers of and participants in the Polish women's strike, known as the Black Protest, which since autumn 2016 has generated widespread attention for its public opposition to plans in the Polish parliament for curtailing women's rights to abortion. The Parasolki, however, are an independent formation, and focus on the specific concerns and needs of Poles engaging in and exercising their democratic rights to dissent.
