Hekla is a Warsaw-based design studio founded by Paulina Oknińska and Monika Proniewska in 2016, mostly interested in illustration, posters, artbooks, zines and all kinds of printed matter.
We love volcanoes, collages, rituals and Japanese books.
Designing hand drawn forms and patterns, smiley faces, strange plants and imaginary landscapes is amongst our main subjects of interest. We also like to mix art with diverse activities such as organizing zinefests, exhibitions and working on various projects including Drukuj!, Massif Zines and Wounded Knife.
