I hope you're all as well as you can be, I know times are tough for everyone right now. That's why It's with a heavy heart that we come to you again asking for support with Melanż. Over the past 2 months we began to notice some changes in his behavior that grew more and more. It reached the point where he needs to use the bathroom every 2 hours, he was constantly crying to us, looking at his body like he was in pain, and exhibiting issues with his skin. With each visit to the vet they reassured us he was fine, gave antibiotics, other medications, and told us to just treat him at home. Well, this was all fine until one day he was running a fever of more than 40+. So we rushed him to the vet again in the middle of the night and after a few more visits they finally scheduled him for an ultrasound revealing to us signifigant changes in his kidneys. They've now officially diagnosed him with kidney disease and told us it looks like late stage 2 to early stage 3. Our next steps are to see a Nephrologists to confirm the stage and learn about any treatment options. This will likely cost 2x as much as regular vet visits, along with special medications and a specialized diet. That's why once again I'm looking for any kind of help.

This poor boy has lived such a hard life... from fleeing Ukraine involuntarly because his home was half on fire from Russian bombing, to spliting his paw open, to needing surgery to remove cancerous tumors from his testicales and paw, and now this kidney disease diagnosis. Sometimes though it's like he doesn't even know it's happening. He still smiles, plays, loves life and us to his absolute fullest. I want to make sure I do everything in my power to ensure he lives a good and happy life until this disease takes him across the rainbow bridge to a better home.
