The Noble Gift in the ISoB 

As in the previous years, the idea at ISoB is to organize a number of ‘’mini-projects’’: individual, group or whole class ones, through which we might contribute to our final cause. Let’s show our creativity and talents and organize an auction of self-made goods or services. We encourage all of you to have your little bit of contribution to the NOBLE GIFT. We have selected a family whose needs are not demanding but quite basic. With a little effort we can make this family’s life easier. But first of all, we can bring human dignity back to them. This is whom we are going to help:

Nadia and her daughter Karolina.

Lady: Nadia, 48 years old

Daughter: Karolina, 17 years old.

History of our family:

Mrs Nadia is raising a teenage girl on her own. After the death of her husband, a woman tried to make ends meet. Her husband died of cancer two years ago. Despite the certificate of disability of I degree, the woman worked in security. The disease has worsened and the woman had to give up her job to improve her health. The family income is 1,800 PLN. After deducting all costs - 1,192 PLN. The amount that remains for one family member is 304 PLN.

Mrs Nadia would like to change everything in their life, but she knows that it will be very hard for them. Karolina loves reading books and watching movies. The woman, on the other hand, loves housework. The girl's greatest talent is singing. The motivation for changing the situation is the girl and their health. The family shows great willingness to improve themsleves , despite mother’s serious illness.

Family's Three Key Needs:

1. LAPTOP: The equipment can be used but in good condition. The equipment will help the girl to calmly prepare for the final Matura exam.

2. FOOD: The family could use some food as it would help them prepare more for Christmas.

3. SHOES: The family needs shoes to wear in winter and spring.
