Future Leaders wspierają walkę o lepszą przyszłość dzieci.

Jesteśmy grupą współpracowników, którzy postanowili pomóc małym bohaterom walczącym o swoją przyszłość. Wiemy, że nasza piątka może nie wystarczyć, aby zrobić różnicę, ale z twoją pomocą mamy nadzieję, że zdołamy poruszyć wskazówką. Ostatnie kilka miesięcy poświęciliśmy na przygotowania do triathlonu, 11 czerwca będziemy rywalizować na dystansie 1/8 dystansu Ironman, aktywności, w której żaden z nas nigdy nie startował. To będzie nasza walka aby wesprzeć dzieci, które są zmuszone do walki z chorobą. Będziemy informować Cię o wynikach naszego wyzwania i zobowiązujemy się do 100% wysiłku na każdym metrze, każdym kroku i każdym uderzeniu. Proszę wesprzyj naszą sprawę i pomóż dzieciom w walce o ich życie.

Fundacją którą chcemy wesprzeć jest Fundacja Pomocy Dzieciom z Chorobami Nowotworowymi która w zakresie swoich działań ma:

•    Organizowanie pomocy finansowej dla specjalistycznego leczenia dzieci,
•    Pomoc rodzinom dzieci dotkniętych chorobami nowotworowymi,
•    Promocja i organizacja wolontariatu,
•    Działanie na rzecz dzieci niepełnosprawnych,
•    Organizowanie wypoczynku rehabilitacyjno-leczniczego i wakacyjnego,
•    Pomoc i wsparcie psychologiczne dla dzieci dotkniętych chorobą nowotworową oraz ich rodzin,
•    Działalność w zakresie ochrony i promocji zdrowia.   

Jak o sobie sami piszą:

"Fundacja została utworzona 28 grudnia 1992 roku w Poznaniu i od tej chwili działa nieprzerwanie. Fundacja została założona przez rodziców których dzieci zmagały się z chorobą nowotworową i były leczone w Klinice Onkologii, Hematologii i Transplantologii Pediatrycznej w Szpitalu Klinicznym im. Karola Jonschera w Poznaniu na ulicy Szpitalnej. Fundację założyliśmy ponieważ w czasie leczenia naszych dzieci nie było żadnej organizacji do której można było zwrócić się o jakąkolwiek pomoc. Nasze doświadczenia życiowe sprawiły że wiemy co czują wszyscy rodzice u których dzieci rozpoznano chorobę nowotworową.

Rozumiemy ich potrzeby i w ramach naszych możliwości wspieramy ich finansowo.

Na początku naszej działalności miała to być pomoc dla dzieci i ich rodzin w trakcie i po leczeniu: min. zakup leków, dojazdy do kliniki na kontrole, organizowanie wyjazdów dla dzieci. Na to wszystko potrzebne pieniądze więc żebraliśmy wszędzie o nie gdzieś się dało, było bardzo trudno. Ale jak widać było warto, determinacja nasza się opłaciła i przetrwaliśmy do dziś , jak widać mamy stałych i nowych „przyjaciół” którzy nas finansowo wspierają. Z biegiem lat potrzeby wzrastały na leczenia dzieci za granicą i w kraju. Dzieci do leczenia przybywa, a bywa że leczenie nie jest refundowane przez NFZ i trzeba zbierać ogromne pieniądze na leczenie.

Staramy się aby nasza pomoc była wszechstronna. Naszym nadrzędnym celem i marzeniem było poszerzyć zakres pomocy chorym dzieciom i ich rodzinom o pomoc większej ilości specjalistów takich jak kilku psychologów, rehabilitantów sensorycznych, rehabilitanta, dietetyka i neurologopedę. 

Teraz nasze marzenie spełniamy w całości, gdyż możemy pomóc wszystkim rodzinom, które potrzebują wsparcia. Utworzona w ramach projektu grupa wsparcia to psycholodzy, którzy są przy rodzicach od samego początku pobytu w szpitalu gdy rodzice usłyszą, że ich dziecko ma chorobę nowotworową; rehabilitanci, których ćwiczenia z dziećmi są niezbędne; dietetyk, który doradzi i podpowie jak odżywiać dzieci w trakcie i po leczeniu, neurologopeda pracujący z dzieckiem po zabiegach operacyjnych oraz inni z grupy wsparcia. Każde nowo przyjęte na oddział dziecko otrzymuje prezent w postaci zabawek, gier, a rodzic zestaw broszur i poradników edukacyjnych"

My też chcemy pomóc wspierając działalność fundacji, stąd pomysł aby nasz wysiłek i chęć pokonania własnych słabości zamienić na pomoc tym którzy w chwili obecnej mogą tylko pomarzyć o sportowej rywalizacji, gdyż każdy dzień jest dla nich rywalizacją z bezwzględną chorobą. We are a group of work colleagues that decided to raise the awareness for little heroes fighting for their future. We know that five of us might not be enough to make the difference, but with your help we're hoping to make needle move. We have dedicated last couple of months getting ready for the triathlon, on 11th of June we will compete in 1/8th of the Ironman distance, an activity that neither one of us ever competed at. This will be our fight to support children that are forced to fight the disease. We will update you with the results of our challenge, and we pledge to give 100% effort on every meter, every step and every stroke. Please support our cause and help children fighting for their lives.

The foundation we want to support is the Foundation for Help for Children with Cancer, which in the scope of its activities has:

• Organizing financial assistance for specialist treatment of children,

• Help for families of children suffering from neoplastic diseases,

• Promotion and organization of volunteering,

• Action for disabled children,

• Organizing rehabilitation, treatment and holiday rest,

• Help and psychological support for children suffering from cancer and their families,

• Activities in the field of health protection and promotion.

As they write about themselves:

"The Foundation was established on December 28, 1992 in Poznań and has been operating continuously since then. The Foundation was established by parents whose children were struggling with cancer and were treated at the Department of Oncology, Hematology and Pediatric Transplantology at the Karol Jonscher Clinical Hospital in Poznań. We established the Foundation because during the treatment of our children there was no organization to which we could turn for any help. Our life experiences made us know what all parents with children diagnosed with neoplastic disease feel.

We understand their needs and we support them financially within the limits of our capabilities.

At the beginning of our activity, it was supposed to help children and their families during and after treatment: min. purchase of drugs, travel to the clinic for checkups, organization of trips for children. We needed money for all this, so we begged everywhere for it, it was very difficult. But as you can see it was worth it, our determination paid off and we have survived to this day, as you can see we have permanent and new "friends" who support us financially. Over the years, the need for treating children abroad and at home has increased. There are more and more children for treatment, and sometimes treatment is not reimbursed by the National Health Fund and it is necessary to collect huge amounts of money for treatment.

We strive to make our help comprehensive. Our overriding goal and dream was to extend the scope of help to sick children and their families with the help of more specialists, such as several psychologists, sensory rehabilitators, a rehabilitator, dietician and neurologopedist.

Now we fulfill our dream in its entirety, because we can help all families that need support. The support group created as part of the project consists of psychologists who are with parents from the very beginning of their stay in hospital when parents hear that their child has cancer; rehabilitators whose exercises with children are essential; a dietitian who will advise and advise on how to nourish children during and after treatment, a neurological therapist working with the child after surgery and others from the support group. Each newly admitted child to the ward receives a gift in the form of toys and games, and the parent receives a set of educational brochures and guides "

We also want to help by supporting the foundation's activities, hence the idea to turn our effort and willingness to overcome our own weaknesses into helping those who can only dream about sports competition, because each day is a competition for them with cancer.
