Why am I seeing this?

Because, my friend, winter is on its way… again… And the animals from the Józefów shelter need us more than ever. It’s cold, it’s dark, it’s grey – let’s paint the world colorful again with a bit of dog happiness. 

Who exactly is running the event? 

Me – Joanna Zaręba, as a member of the Lionbridge team supported by my fellow lions (friends and co‑workers). This is employee action. We feel that we need to give back to community and do something good together. For the last three events – our initiative was also supported by corporate funds.

Is this a one‑shot event?

Crazy Cats and Dogs Week is annual. Our community supports the shelter for the fourth year now, and I must say that my co‑workers had been very generous in the previous editions of the action. You can take a look at our 2019 result photo below. Also, in 2021 we have gathered 4330 PLN.

As you know, both 2020 and 2021 were a very special years… to say the least.

We work from home, we can’t gather in big groups, we can’t just bring donated staff to the office like we used to do. And what affects us the most – I can’t go around the office with the fundraising box boosting my colleagues’ generosity.

This is why I decided to use the online fundraiser and social media – Covid-19 made us go virtual.

How much do we need?

Our target is 4000 PLN, but of course we will be more than happy if we do better. Four‑legged representatives of shelter doggos

state they can eat any number of tasty foods we can provide and chew on any number of treats we throw at them.

What will we buy?

·       Dog food: dry and canned; light, senior, puppy, renal, and standard – quality over quantity;

·       Dog treats, and natural chews – dogs love pig ears and dried beef.;

·       Dog toys, for foster homed puppies;

·       Baby changing pads for older dogs and puppies;

·       Leashes, collars, harnesses, muzzles;

·       Bowls;

·       Grooming products, comb brushes, dog shampoos; 

·       Anti‑flea and anti‑tick preparations. 

Do I have to work at Lionbridge to donate? 

Everyone can donate 😊 We will love to have as many participants as we can.

But I am already supporting other actions.
