The "Na Paluchu" Animal Shelter is an organization founded in 2001 where homeless animals from the area of the City of Warsaw are delivered by patrols or private individuals, where the owners of lost animals begin their search and where the adoption processes of their many pupils begin.

The Shelter's mission is: "We protect homeless animals, we create a second chance for them. We know they feel." "Na Paluchu" staff have taken it upon themselves to popularize the opinion that shelter is not a destination home for homeless animals. It is merely a stop on their difficult path of life. A stop between one home and another.

The Shelter is carrying out a public task called "Care for homeless animals and free-living cats from the territory of the City of Warsaw and prevention of animal homelessness". To do it best, shelter operates a hospital for dogs and cats. They treat them to then prepare them for adoption. The hospital has a laboratory, diagnostic rooms and operating rooms.

There are currently 593 dogs and 56 cats ready for adoption under the wings of "Na Paluchu" staff, and many more currently in the process of treatment or socialization. Only last year, the Shelter took additional 130 animals into their care.
