Bardzo potrzebujemy Waszego wsparcia dla Rafy, dla którego świat zatrzymał się 24 marca tego roku…

Tego dnia, rano, trafił do szpitala po rozległym wylewie spowodowanym pęknięciem tętniaka, następnie na stół operacyjny,

a potem w stanie śpiączki farmakologicznej na oddział intensywnej terapii. W pierwszych dniach nie dawano za dużo nadziei. Kazano czekać, ale czas dłużył się niemiłosiernie, a wszystko wydawało się nierealne jak w filmie. Potem było kilka nieudanych prób odłączenia drenu, przyplątały się infekcje. Rafa spał, ale i tak byliśmy przy nim, mówiliśmy do niego, puszczaliśmy mu Milesa Daviesa. I w końcu po ponad trzech tygodniach wrócił do nas, otworzył oczy i się uśmiechnął. Śmialiśmy się, że pewnie nie mógł znieść naszego trajkotania nad jego głową.

Kilka dni temu opuścił w końcu intensywną terapię, ale przed nim jeszcze bardzo długa droga. Rafa reaguje, oddycha sam, choć wciąż ma rurkę tracheostomijną w tchawicy, zaczyna wypowiadać pierwsze słowa, porusza prawą ręką i nogą. 

Nie wiemy jeszcze dokładnie jak duże uszkodzenia spowodował wylew, ale z pewnością Rafę czeka długa, wielomiesięczna rehabilitacja, której miesięczny koszt wynosi około 25 tysięcy złotych. A w domu czekają Dzieciaki, które nie widziały taty od prawie dwóch miesięcy.

Wierzymy, że z Waszą pomocą uda nam się uzbierać kwotę, która pozwoli Rafie wrócić do zdrowia i życia przynajmniej podobnego do tego, które miał wcześniej. A Ci z Was, którzy mieli okazję poznać Rafę, wiedzą, jak ważne jest dla niego proste życie, natura i muzyka.

Chcemy zrobić wszystko, żeby Rafa mógł kiedyś znowu zagrać na swojej ukochanej trąbce!

Necesitamos mucho su apoyo para Rafa, para quien el mundo se paró el 24 de marzo de este año....

Ese día, por la mañana, fue trasladado al hospital tras un derrame cerebral masivo causado por la rotura de un aneurisma, luego a la mesa de operaciones y después, en coma farmacológico, a la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Los primeros días no le daban muchas esperanzas. Nos dijeron que esperáramos, pero el tiempo se alargaba sin piedad y todo parecía tan irreal como en una película. Hubo varios intentos infructuosos de desconectar el drenaje, le aparecieron infecciones. Rafa dormía, pero nosotros estábamos allí de todos modos, hablando con él, poniéndole música de Miles Davies. Y por fin, después de más de tres semanas, volvió con nosotros, abrió los ojos y sonrió. Nos burlamos de que probablemente lo hizo porque no soportaba nuestro parloteo sobre su cabeza.

Por fin salió de cuidados intensivos hace unos días, pero aún le queda un largo camino por recorrer. Rafa está respondiendo, respira por sí mismo, aunque todavía tiene un tubo de traqueotomía, está empezando a decir sus primeras palabras, mueve la mano y pierna derecha.

Aún no sabemos cuánto daño le causó el derrame cerebral, pero seguro que a Rafa le esperan muchos meses de rehabilitación, cuyo coste mensual es de unos 25.000 zlotys. Y en casa le esperan sus niños, que llevan casi dos meses sin ver a su papi. Creemos que con su ayuda podremos reunir una cantidad que le permita a Rafa recuperar su salud y una vida al menos similar a la que tenía antes. Y los que han tenido la oportunidad de conocer a Rafa saben lo importante que es para él una vida sencilla, la naturaleza y la música.

¡Queremos hacer todo lo posible para que Rafa pueda volver a tocar algún día su querida trompeta!

Dear Friends!

We desperately need your support for Rafa, for whom the world stopped on March 24 this year....

On that day, in the morning, he was taken to the hospital after a massive stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm, then to the operating table, and then moved in a drug coma in the intensive care unit. In the first few days, not much hope was given.

We were told to wait, but time dragged on mercilessly, and everything seemed unreal, like in a movie. Then there were several unsuccessful attempts to disconnect the drain, infections set in. Rafa slept, but we were still by his side, talking to him, playing him Miles Davies' music. And finally, after more than three weeks, he came back to us, opened his eyes and smiled. We laughed that he probably couldn't stand our chattering over his head. 

He finally left intensive care a few days ago, but he still has a very long way to go. Rafa is responsive, breathing on his own, although he still has a tracheostomy tube, beginning to speak his first words, and moving his right arm and leg. 

We don't yet know how much damage the stroke caused, but Rafa will certainly face a long rehabilitation of many months, the monthly cost of which is about 25 thousand zlotys. And there are the Kids waiting at home, who haven't seen their daddy for almost two months.

We believe that with your help we will be able to raise the amount that will allow Rafa to recover and return to a life at least similar to the one he had before. And those of you who have had the opportunity to meet Rafa know how important a simple life, nature and music are to him. 

We want to do everything possible so that Rafa can one day play his beloved trumpet again!
