Po tej stronie Magda, Janek, Gaja i Roch (który jak na razie jest jeszcze w brzuchu, ale już pod koniec czerwca będzie z nami). Jesteśmy rodziną, która od 4 lat próbuje zrealizować scenariusz jakich wiele - marzy nam się wyprowadzka z metropolii i powrót na łono natury! W 2016 roku staliśmy się właścicielami najpiękniejszego miejsca na ziemi, znaleźliśmy swój azyl i swoją odskocznie od zgiełku zatłoczonego miasta - to nasza ukochana Saarówka!

Hello Dear Friends! 

It's Magda, Janek, Gaja and Roch (straight from the mummy's bump which he'll hopefully leave by the end of June). We are a young family who, for 4 years now, is trying to make our dream of moving out of the big city back to the bosom of nature come true! In 2016 we've become the owners of the most beautiful place on planet Earth. We've found our spot in the world, our safe place to be, where we go to when we want to forget about noises of the city, our haven - our Saarówka! 

Hallo liebe Freunde!

Wir sind Magda, Janek, Gaja und Roch (direkt aus Mamas Bauch, den er hoffentlich bis Ende Juni verlassen wird). Wir sind eine junge Familie, die seit 4 Jahren versucht, ihren Traum vom Umzug aus der Großstadt zurück in die Natur zu verwirklichen! 2016 sind wir Eigentümer des schönsten Ortes der Erde geworden. Wir haben unseren Platz auf der Erde gefunden, unseren sicheren Ort, an den wir zurückkehren, wenn wir die Geräusche der Stadt vergessen wollen, unseren Hafen - unsere Saarówka!

Jest to dom położony na samej granicy historycznej Warmii i Mazur, zbudowany w 1915 roku w typowo mazurskim stylu - czerwona cegła, podmurówka z kamienia polnego, czerwona, ceramiczna dachówka. Dom pośrodku niczego. A może właśnie pośrodku wszystkiego, bo otaczają go łąki, lasy i stawy. Naszą chałupkę cały czas odwiedzają bociany, żurawie, sarny, łosie i dziki, jest tu mnóstwo żab i jaszczurek, a czasami zbłąkają się tutaj krowy sąsiada, żeby podkraść trochę jabłek ze starego, malutkiego sadu obok domu. Dla nas jest to raj!

Our house is located on the very historical border of two lands: Warmia and Mazury. It was built in 1915 in a typical masurian style: red brick walls, foundation made of natural rocks and red, ceramic tiles on the roof. It stands in the middle of 'beautiful nowhere', or should we say: in the middle of everything! Everything we love: fields, forest and natural water ponds. Every now and then we have visitors coming to see us: cranes, storks, mooses, boars, roe-deers. There's plenty frogs and lizards in the grass surrounding our house, and sometimes neighbour's cows step is to have a little bite of the apples from a tiny, old orchard next to the house as well. For us that's what you call a heaven! 

Unser Haus liegt an der historischen Grenze zweier Länder: Warmia und Mazury / Ermland und Masuren. Es wurde 1915 im typisch masurischen Stil erbaut: rote Backsteinmauern, Fundament aus Natursteinen und rote Keramikfliesen auf dem Dach. Es steht mitten im "schönen Nirgendwo", oder sollten wir sagen: mitten in allem! Alles, was wir lieben: Felder, Wald und natürliche Wasserteiche. Hin und wieder kommen Besucher zu uns: Kraniche, Störche, Elche, Eber, Rehe. Es gibt viele Frösche und Eidechsen im Gras, das unser Haus umgibt, und manchmal besteht der Schritt der Kühe des Nachbarn darin, einen kleinen Bissen der Äpfel aus einem winzigen, alten Obstgarten neben unserem Haus zu essen. Für uns nennt man das Himmel!

Nie chcieliśmy tego raju zatrzymywać tylko dla siebie - zależało nam na tym, żeby podzielić się nim z ludźmi pragnącymi odpoczynku, ciszy i spokoju. Dlatego wybudowaliśmy malutki domek letniskowy i od zeszłego roku mamy zaszczyt gościć tutaj wszystkich tych, którzy szukają tego, co my tutaj właśnie odnaleźliśmy :)

We don't want to keep this beautiful place just for ourselves. We are very eager to share it with people looking for some relax in beautifully peaceful and quiet environment. For that reason we've built a little summer hut where, since last year, we are very pleased to be able to welcome everyone who's looking for things that we've been looking for, and found in here :)

Wir wollen diesen schönen Ort nicht nur für uns behalten. Wir sind sehr bemüht, es mit Menschen zu teilen, die sich in einer wunderschönen, friedlichen und ruhigen Umgebung entspannen möchten. Aus diesem Grund haben wir eine kleine Sommerhütte gebaut, in der wir uns seit letztem Jahr sehr freuen, alle begrüßen zu können, die nach Dingen suchen, die wir gesucht und hier gefunden haben :)

Dla nas było to także niemałe wsparcie finansowe i między innymi dzięki tej inicjatywie już tej wiosny mogliśmy ruszyć z renowacją naszej mazurskiej chatki! Jednak remont ponad 100-letniej chałupy rządzi się swoimi prawami i co i rusz pojawiają się w związku z nim nowe wyzwania.

Najważniejszym z nich okazał się nasz ukochany, stary piec kaflowy.

Opening the summer hut to people played a big part in gathering resources for renovation of our house. Thanks to that last spring we were able to begin renovation works in our masurian house. However, renovation of an 100 years old building write its own rules and with those come new challenges.

The biggest challenge so far turned out to be our beloved, old tiled stove. 

Die Öffnung der Sommerhütte für Menschen spielte eine große Rolle bei der Beschaffung von Ressourcen für die Renovierung unseres Hauses. Dank dieses, letzten Frühlings konnten wir mit den Renovierungsarbeiten in unserem masurischen Haus beginnen. Die Renovierung eines 100 Jahre alten Gebäudes schreibt jedoch eigene Regeln und bringt damit neue Herausforderungen mit sich.

Die größte Herausforderung war bisher unser geliebter, alter Fliesenofen. Leider haben wir festgestellt, dass der Ofen einen großen Riss hatte und wir müssten ihn komplett umbauen, wenn wir ihn jemals benutzen wollen.

Niestety, okazało się, że przepiękny piec jest pęknięty i należy go odbudować...

Znalezienie zduna w dzisiejszych czasach to nie lada wyczyn, ale po długich poszukiwaniach - OTO JEST! Profesjonalista, artysta, który pokochał nasz piec tak samo jak my i zgodził się nam pomóc. Jednak nie jest to takie proste i przede wszystkim wymaga dużego nakładu finansowego...

Renowacja pieca została wyceniona na 11.000 złotych - są to koszty materiałów i robocizny. Z piecem trzeba się obsługiwać bardzo ostrożnie, bo po wielu latach zaniedbań, jest po prostu w bardzo złym stanie... Wiele kafli jest do wymiany, ornamenty są pokruszone i ułamane. Z tyłu okazał się pęknięty w kilku miejscach. Potrzeba przede wszystkim dużo pracy artystycznej, żeby piec odzyskał swój dawny blask. Ale kochanemu Panu Zdunowi też na tym zależy, dlatego już teraz dokłada od siebie 1.000 złotych, żeby można było naszego staruszka uratować!

A teraz niezwykła historia!

Gdy rozebraliśmy komin, do którego przylegał piec, znaleźliśmy niesamowitą rzecz! List w butelce!

Unfortunately we've realised that the stove has a big crack in it and we have to be completely rebuilt it if we ever wanted to use it. Finding a skilled potter who would be willing to take up such a task was an achievement on its own but WE DID IT! 

We found a pofessional, artistic soul who fell in love with our stove just as much as we did, and who promised to help us. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it may sounds because of the financial input we have to be ready for...

Renovation of the stove was priced at 11.000 polish zlotys, that's for materials and the work of the potter. Working on a stove like this requires tonnes of patience, you have to be very careful to not damage the fragile, old construction which was not taken care of for last how may years. Many of the tiles are going to have to be replaced. Loads of the ornaments are cracked and crushed. We also noticed many cracks on the back of the stove. Restoring the old charm of the stove will require lots of professional, precise and artistic work but our potter is just as determined as we are to make it happen. He actually decided to help our cause by not only working on renovating it but also by donating 1.000zl to help us save this old beaut.

Now a bit of a twist in the plot! 

While working on dismantling the stove's chimney we've came across an amazing little thing- a message in a bottle! 

Einen erfahrenen Töpfer zu finden, der bereit wäre, eine solche Aufgabe zu übernehmen, war eine Leistung für sich, aber WIR HABEN ES GESCHAFFT!

Wir fanden eine professionelle, künstlerische Seele, die sich genauso in unseren Ofen verliebte wie wir und die versprach, uns zu helfen. Leider ist es nicht so einfach, wie es sich anhört, da wir auf finanzielle Mittel vorbereitet sein müssen …

Die Renovierung des Ofens kostete 11.000 polnische Zloty, das ist für Materialien und die Arbeit des Töpfers. Die Arbeit an einem solchen Ofen erfordert eine Menge Geduld. Man muss sehr vorsichtig sein, damit die zerbrechliche, alte Konstruktion, die in den letzten Jahren nicht gepflegt wurde, nicht beschädigt wird. Viele Fliesen müssen ersetzt werden. Viele Ornamente sind gerissen und zerkleinert.

Wir bemerkten auch viele Risse auf der Rückseite des Ofens. Die Wiederherstellung des alten Charmes des Ofens erfordert professionelle, präzise und künstlerische Arbeit, aber unser Töpfer ist genauso entschlossen, dies zu erreichen. Er beschloss tatsächlich, unserer Sache zu helfen, indem er nicht nur an der Renovierung arbeitet, sondern auch 1.000 zl spendet, um uns zu helfen, diese alte Schönheit zu retten.

Jest to dla nas niezwykła informacja i potwierdzenie, że dom ten jest wyjątkowy!

Ogólny remont pochłania wszystkie nasze środki finansowe, a renowacja pieca jest tak kosztowna, że bez Waszej pomocy, nie uda nam się go uratować... Bardzo nam zależy na zachowaniu naszego mazurskiego starego pieca - to serce i symbol tego domu!

Pomóżcie nam proszę odbudować serce i ducha tego starego domu!

Thanks to the help of our good friends we've been able to decode what it says:

'This tile stove was built on 4th of April 1926 by the owner, Franz Königsmann. Potter, August Rogalla. 

Bischofsburg 76 - may peace be with that house.'

It's an amazing piece of information for us and it just confirmed how special that house is!

General renovation works in the house are taking most of our financial resources. Rebuilding the stove itself is very pricey and without your help it will be impossible for us to finish this task. We are very determined to keep our beautiful, old stove. For us it's a symbol, it's the heart of our home.

Please help us rebuild the heart and soul of our old house!

Bei der Demontage des Ofens sind wir auf ein erstaunliches kleines Ding gestoßen - eine Flaschenpost! Dank der Hilfe unserer guten Freunde konnten wir entschlüsseln, was darin steht: "Dieser Fliesenofen wurde am 4. April 1926 vom Besitzer Franz Königsmann gebaut. Potter, August Rogalla. Bischofsburg 76 - möge Frieden mit diesem Haus sein."

Es ist eine erstaunliche Information für uns und es hat uns nur bestätigt, wie besonders dieses Haus ist! Allgemeine Renovierungsarbeiten im Haus beanspruchen den größten Teil unserer finanziellen Mittel. Der Wiederaufbau des Ofens selbst ist sehr teuer und ohne Ihre Hilfe wird es uns unmöglich sein, diese Aufgabe zu erledigen.

Wir sind sehr entschlossen, unseren schönen alten Ofen zu behalten. Für uns ist es ein Symbol, es ist das Herz unseres Hauses.

Bitte helfen Sie uns, das Herz und die Seele unseres alten Hauses wieder aufzubauen!
