Before I planned a trip to Cincinnati last spring, I found myself searching is there an amtrak station in indianapolis. I wasn’t expecting much because Indy isn’t often mentioned in rail travel guides, but I was genuinely impressed. The station is located downtown, which made getting there super easy. It might not be a high-traffic hub like New York or Chicago, but it gets the job done. The Cardinal line that runs through it gives you some beautiful views of the countryside, and the overall pace is relaxing—perfect for those looking to avoid the stress of air travel.
