Cat Day is almost here and we decided to use this opportunity to raise money to help animals in need!

We decided to support local organisation, Skawińskie Stowarzyszenie Pomocy dla Zwierząt. They are located in Skawina, just outside of Krakow. Over the years they have proven to be extremely effective in helping both cats and dogs! Here's some of their areas of work & success:

• bringing lost animals home - 80% of found & rescued animals come back home!
• lowering number of homeless cats population thanks to free sterilisation offered to anyone taking care of stray ones!
• being a temporary home for animals who look for new owners
• education: raising awareness of cats & dogs well-being

Skawińskie Stowarzyszenie Pomocy dla Zwierząt has always been a model organisation which was setting a great example for others to follow. This year they have decided to go one better and to change their status from Charity to Shelter. This is an ambitious goal which will allow them to help even more animals in more ways that they do now. The trick is that to do so, they must fulfil number of legal and sanitary requirements. This is a huge investment and we want to help them with that!

We were asked to help them with:

• raising 699 PLN for stainless steel table that will be used inside Shelter for vaccinations and minor procedures that can be done on-spot by veterinarian (link: https://www.expondo.pl/royal-catering-skladany-stol-roboczy-100-x-60-cm-200-kg-10011481)
• raising 1200 PLN for stainless steel cages for cats. These sound scary but there's a legal requirement to isolate every cat brought to shelter for 14 days - this is a quarantine that allows to make sure that they are not carrying any infectious diseases that could endanger other animals (link: https://sprzedajemy.pl/klatka-weterynaryjna-zywiec-2-2461c4-nr61063662)
