We are collecting donations for an orphanage in Lodz hosting kids from Ukraine. As a WITC community we would like to support them with some of their "sports" needs - like bikes and a trampoline. They also need clothes, shoes, summer activities and medical care. Thanks for your consideration! Here's a description:

"Currently, there are 90 children in Lodz from four care institutions in Ukraine, including Kovel,

Rivne, Zaporozhe and Holovno (near Kovel). The children came to Poland in the first days of the

Russian aggression against Ukraine. Most parents of children are deprived of parental rights. The city of

Lodz provided these children with proper living conditions in two buildings of former orphanages. As

the children were evacuated with a very limited amount of belongings, both the city of Lodz and its

numerous sponsors provided the children with appropriate clothing and equipment. A limited number of

Ukrainian caregivers were employed. The children are provided with adequate accommodation and

nutritious food. Most of the children go to Polish schools, where they are taught in Ukrainian groups.

Polish coordinators also ensure appropriate medical care as well as conditions for development.

Children participate in many development activities."
