Mhondoro Dreams organizuje obecnie Festiwal Nyamatsatse w Harare, Zimbabwe, w sierpniu 2022 roku (14-20 sierpnia).

Festiwal jest darem poezji i piękna od ludzkości dla Gwiazd. Opowieść oparta jest na micie o rozbiciu ludzkiego ducha i ponownym jego złożeniu. Ta współczesna opowieść o starym micie podkreśla pieśni gwiazd, które rozświetlają nasze serca, dusze i podróże. Każda istota ludzka jest kluczowym elementem ludzkiego ducha – mitologiczny serial, Nyamatsatse (Ceremonia Gwiazd), w siedmiu odcinkach, zostanie zaprezentowana podczas festiwalu, tworząc jeden wątek fabuły (głównie głosów z Zimbabwe), który zjednoczy uczestników festiwalu i ludzi na całym świecie, w odkryciu znowu naszego wspólnego człowieczeństwa.

Pandemia COVID-19 pokazała pęknięcia w cywilizacji, szczególnie jeśli chodzi o systemy zdrowia, uzdrawiania, społeczności i organizację psychiki, wokół której zbudowaliśmy nasz świat. W każdym miejscu mieszkańcy tego miejsca musieli znaleźć rozwiązanie problemu, jak przeżyć pandemię. Stało się dla nas coraz bardziej jasne, na całym świecie, że rdzenne kultury na całym świecie posiadają klucze do sposobu bycia, który karmi życie, niesie życie, chroni życie i pielęgnuje życie, a także poprzez eksplozję połączeń technologicznych w całej kuli ziemskiej podczas pandemii – to, co łączy nas jako ludzkość, jest większe niż to, co nas dzieli. Rdzenne kultury na całym świecie mają podobne zasady szacunku dla życia, które je karmi, a my, dzieci naszych czasów, chcemy świętować, a także odbudowywać – nie tylko przez papugowanie tego, co uważamy za starożytne, ale na nasz własny sposób , łącząc to, co dawne, z tym, co współczesne. W ten sposób spoglądamy w przeszłość, aby opowiedzieć inną historię przyszłości, roli ludzkości i sposobów, w jakie ludzkość może żyć we właściwych relacjach – ze sobą, z naturą, z kosmosem i gwiazdami.

Festiwal Porannej Gwiazdy (Nyamatsatse), którego pierwsza edycja odbędzie się w Harare w Zimbabwe, w dniach 14-20 sierpnia 2022 roku, zgromadzi lokalne praktyki uzdrawiania , kultury i duchowości, i połączy ze sztuką z całego świata. (Ponieważ rdzenna mądrość pojawia się w każdej części świata, a „nacjonalizm”, jak również granice, które go definiują, są stosunkowo nowym wynalazkiem człowieka, skupiamy się na regionach i głębokich korzeniach mądrości, które rozciągają się na Afrykę, regiony słowiańskie i obie Ameryki).

W rdzennej kosmologii z całego świata artysta i uzdrowiciel to jedna osoba – bez tej osoby społeczność nie ma możliwości uzdrowienia, czy to ciała, czy umysłu, czy relacji. Artysta jest twórcą nowego, Uzdrowiciel jest opiekunem starego – razem tworzą lekarstwo, które jest nam w tych czasach potrzebne. Nie ma powrotu do przeszłości – wszyscy musimy iść naprzód razem. Dlatego organizujemy Festiwal Nyamatsatse, aby uleczyć Złamane Serce Naszych Czasów.

Prawda jest taka kochani. Potrzebujemy wsparcia. Potrzebujemy wsparcia finansowego, aby ten festiwal odbył się w pierwszej edycji. Hello Everyone!

Mhondoro Dreams Productions (my production company) is currently organizing the Nyamatsatse Festival for Spirituality and the Arts in Harare, Zimbabwe, in August of 2022 (August 14 - 20).

This Star Ceremony is a gift of poetry and beauty from the humanity to the Stars. The story is based on the myth of Isis and Osiris, and the breaking up of the human spirit, as well as putting it back together again. A contemporary re-telling of an old myth, the story emphasizes the songs of the stars that light up our hearts, spirits, and journeys. Every human being, is a crucial piece of the human spirit – the Nyamatsatse Festival Series, in Seven Episodes, will be presented at the Nyamatsatse Festival for Healing and the Arts, creating one thread of a (mainly Zimbabwean voices) storyline through the human experience, that will unite the participants of the festival in walking through the common ground of humanity.

The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the cracks in civilization, particularly when it comes to systems of health, healing, community, and the mental organization around which we have structured our world. In every place, the people of that place had to find solutions to the problem of how to live through the pandemic. It has become increasingly clear to all of us, globally, that indigenous cultures around the world hold the keys to a way of being that feeds life, brings life, protects life, and cherishes life, and also, through the explosion of technological connection across the globe during the pandemic – what connects us as humanity is greater than what divides us. Indigenous cultures across the world share similar principles of respect for life that feeds life, and that we, the children of the current age, want to celebrate and also rebuild – not simply by parroting what we think were ancient ways, but in our own way, by connecting what is ancient with what is contemporary. Thus we look to the past to tell us a different story of the future, the role of humanity, and the ways in which humanity can live in right relationship – with each other, with nature, with the cosmos, and with the stars.

The Nyamatsatse Festival of Healing and the Arts, set for its first edition in Harare, Zimbabwe between the 14th and 20th of August, 2022, will bring together indigenous cultural healing practices and heritage with the arts, from all over the world. (Because indigenous wisdom shows up in every part of the world, and ‘nationalism’, as well as the borders that define it, are a relatively recent human invention, we are focusing on regions and the deep roots of wisdom that extend over Africa, the Slavic regions and the Americas.)

In the indigenous cosmology from around the world, the artist and the healer are one person – without this person, the community has no way of healing, whether it is body, or mind, or relationships. The artist is the creator of the new, the healer is the keeper of the old – together, they create the medicine that is needed for us, in these times. There is no going back to the past – all of us must move forward, together. Hence we are doing the Nyamatsatse Festival of Healing and the Arts, to heal the Broken-Heartedness of the Times.

So here is the truth. We need support. We need financial support to make this festival happen in its first edition. We have been waiting on grant responses, but they are not coming, and because this is an international festival and because Zimbabwean artists struggle anyway, and because Mhondoro Dreams Productions is not funded by anyone (yet) and because I can't create a GoFundMe from Zimbabwe, I am asking for your help on Patreon. 

I am not really asking for help though - I am offering you the opportunity to buy viewing access to the 7 episode mythological series, of which all of the music will be from myself and Zimbabwean artists, and the stories told are from interviews done (mostly) locally. If you sign up on Patreon until the time of the Festival, I will be able to give you access to the 7-episode mythological series that will be screened at the festival, and that will have the essence of the reconnection with the stars within it.

Whatever you give, it will be wonderful! All of the money sent before August 20th will go for the support of the festival, the people involved (transport, payment, food), the beer being brewed, the food provided, and also the making of the 7 episode mythological series as well as other festival products. Any remaining money (if there is any), will be then forwarded to next year.

Until the time of the festival, however, ALL of the money earned on Patreon and Zrzutka will go towards the Nyamatsatse Festival.
