The family's story
It has always been Mrs. Kasia's greatest wish to raise a child. After many years of trying, it turned out that the only way for this to become possible was through adoption. Mrs. Kasia adopted a boy named Kamil. After 10 years of being a dedicated mother, suddenly to her great surprise, as if by miracle, she was granted her wish and became pregnant, expecting a little girl.
When the baby was born, it very quickly became apparent that Nelka would need special care. Among others, her knee joints were not formed properly. Despite several abnormalities, the doctor's had difficulty diagnosing her precise illness for 3 years. With no disability certificate, Mrs. Kasia did not receive any benefit money to treat and rehabilitate her little daughter. Mrs. Kasia was forced to give up her job and to look after her sick daughter full time. She was forced to spend all her savings, trying desperately to help her little girl. Time was passing, Nelka was growing, and still there was no diagnosis. This caused Mrs. Kasia to fall into more and more financial trouble.
After 4 years, Nelka was finally diagnosed as suffering from a very serious physical disability. She is now slowly learning how to walk. She needs professional and long-term rehabilitation. Mrs.Kasia is still unemployed, due to devoting herself to her daughter's care. After many years of carrying her child, now she too, has serious back problems and she also requires rehabilitation. Her devoted son, Kamil always tries to help his mother and supports her as much as he can. Kamil is a very talented and intellectual boy. He is a student of an IT school in Szczecin. He dreams of being a computer programmer. Unfortunately, he can't afford a good quality computer. Mrs. Kasia's family live in a village near Szczecin. They have very little money for food and medicine, yet they never give up and make an effort each to day to keep smiling. They love and support each other, because they believe that the sun will one day shine over them once again. They would be sincerely grateful for any support or any help you are willing to share with them this Christmas.
Respectfully,
Mrs Kasia, Kamil and Nelka.
