Mówimy, że bieda temu dokuczy, kto się za młodu nie uczy. Są miejsca, gdzie dzieci nie mogą się uczyć, bo zwyczajnie nie mają na to pieniędzy.

Jestem Daria i przez kilka tygodni mieszkałam w kenijskiej wsi Uhembo, gdzie pracowałam w malutkiej szkole. Placówka została utworzona przez pastora i jego organizację Elimu Centre International w budynku lokalnego kościoła. Nauczycielki pracują tam za darmo, aby dzieci z ubogich rodzin mogły mieć lepszą przyszłość niż ich rodzice.

Szkoła, w której pracowałam, to tylko jedno pomieszczenie, w którym uczą się dwie grupy. Dzieci nie maja możliwości, żeby uczyć się efektywnie. Grupy muszą się przekrzykiwać, a uczniowie nie mają nawet ławek, na których mogliby pisać w zeszytach.

12,000zł – to kwota potrzebna, aby wybudować nową szkołę dla dzieci, których nie stać na droższą edukację publiczną. Na dobry początek wystarczy 3000zł, dzięki którym organizacja będzie mogła wybudować minimum potrzebne do kontynuacji nauki.

Bardzo zależy mi na tej zbiórce, bo wiem, ile znaczy to dla tych ludzi. Dla ludzi, którzy mają tak niewiele, a przyjęli mnie oraz innych wolontariuszy jak członków rodziny.

We used to say that poorness will meet the one who hasn’t been taught in the younghood. There are places where kids cannot go to school because they simply have no money for education. 

Hi, I am Daria and I volunteered in a small Kenyan school in the village of Uhembo this year. The entity is run by a pastor and his organization Elimu Cenrtre International in the building of a church. The teachers work there for free to provide better future for kids than their parents have. 

The school is consisted of one room only where two groups learn. They do not have any opportunity to be taught effectively , because there is too much noise. What is more, the students have no desks to write so they use chair that they sit on. 

12,000zł – this is the amount of money needed to build a new school for kids who are not able to cover public education that is more expensive. At the beginning, the organization needs at least 3000zł to start with the project and build at least the minimum necessary to continue with the education of the youngest. 

I care about this fundraising because I know what it means for those people to have a new school. For people who do not have much, but they welcomed me and other volunteers as their family members.
