Aktualnie pracuję nad swoim autorskim filmem krótkometrażowym pt. „The Sense of Words” – kameralnym dramatem psychologicznym o trudnej relacji matki i córki, w którym świat rzeczywisty przenika się z wewnętrznym światem bohaterki.

O czym jest film?

„The Sense of Words” opowiada historię 16-letniej Enoli, która próbuje odnaleźć własną tożsamość w cieniu dominującej matki. Każde słowo wypowiedziane przez matkę zdaje się mieć wagę większą, niż powinno – wpływa na samoocenę dziewczyny, jej emocje i sposób postrzegania świata. Film zagłębia się w psychikę młodej bohaterki, pokazując, jak słowa – nawet te pozornie niewinne – potrafią kształtować naszą rzeczywistość.

Dlaczego potrzebuję Twojego wsparcia?

Film realizuję w ramach projektu studenckiego i non-profit, ale by oddać jego atmosferę, emocje i wizualną głębię, potrzebuję wsparcia na pokrycie podstawowych kosztów:

• wynajmu sprzętu filmowego
• scenografii i kostiumów
• transportu i wyżywienia ekipy
• postprodukcji (montaż, korekcja kolorów, udźwiękowienie)

Styl filmu:

The Sense of Words to film obrazkowy, oparty na sile wizualnej narracji. Zostanie zrealizowany w surrealistycznym, symbolicznym stylu inspirowanym twórczością Andrieja Tarkowskiego, z długimi, kontemplacyjnymi ujęciami, bogatą symboliką i głęboką emocjonalnością. Duża część kompozycji kadrów czerpie z malarstwa impresjonistów — takich jak Claude Monet czy John Everett Millais — co nadaje obrazowi poetycki, malarski charakter. Światło, kolory, faktury – wszystko to będzie miało znaczenie, budując subtelne napięcie i ukryte znaczenia. Film nie będzie opowieścią dosłowną – to wizualna podróż przez psychikę młodej dziewczyny, gdzie granice między rzeczywistością a symboliką zacierają się. To wymagający projekt, który stawia na emocjonalną głębię, wrażliwość i artystyczną precyzję.

O mnie - dlaczego robię ten film

Nazywam się Olena Kakhnych i jestem studentką szkoły filmowej, ale przede wszystkim – jestem osobą, która wierzy w moc słów i siłę opowieści. Od zawsze fascynowało mnie to, jak rozmowy, nawet te codzienne i pozornie niewinne, mogą mieć ogromny wpływ na drugiego człowieka. Dla mnie komunikacja to najpotężniejsza forma interakcji, a film to przestrzeń, w której mogę o niej mówić głośno.

Uwielbiam realizować trudne tematy – takie, które dotykają emocji, relacji i niewidocznych ran, z jakimi wiele osób chodzi przez życie. Wierzę, że kino może leczyć, uświadamiać, łączyć – i bardzo zależy mi na tym, by The Sense of Words był właśnie takim filmem.

Moim największym marzeniem jest, aby chociaż jedna osoba po obejrzeniu tego filmu poczuła się mniej samotna i mniej zraniona. Chcę, by ta historia przypominała nam wszystkim, jak wielką wagę mają słowa, które wypowiadamy – szczególnie te kierowane do bliskich. Bo czasem to właśnie słowo – nie krzyk czy gest – zostawia najgłębszą bliznę.

The story follows Enola, a 16-year-old girl, navigating a toxic home environment shaped by emotional abuse masked as concern. Every frame is designed to carry emotional weight, inviting the viewer into the psychological and emotional inner world of the protagonist. This is a challenging project, both technically and emotionally, requiring sensitivity, depth, and a commitment to artistic vision from everyone involved. It will not be a literal story, but rather a symbolic journey through the mind of a girl quietly breaking under the weight of misunderstood love.

Why I need your help:

As a student filmmaker, I’m working with a very limited budget — but my vision for The Sense of Words is deeply ambitious, both visually and emotionally. To bring this story to life with the care and depth it deserves, I need help covering essential production costs: equipment, props, costumes, transportation, and meals for the cast and crew.

This project is entirely non-profit. Everyone involved is offering their time, talent, and energy out of love for cinema and storytelling. However, even a symbolic amount can go a long way toward making this film happen — and making sure that it speaks to the hearts of those who need it most.
