Description

Consequences of the war in Ukraine are grave and diverse. Addressing humanitarian and refugee crisis requires among other things properly preparing the society hosting refugees. 


The children especially are vulnerable and require help in understanding the situation. In many cases their parents lack tools to explain what’s going on without traumatizing them. We want to assist them and offer a narrative based on psychological knowledge.


We want to use our huge experience in games development to create an educational interactive audiobook. This form will make it more accessible for younger children. This form will also finish work in only 2-3 weeks.


Ok, but what the game actually is?


The Great Cold is creeping on the Kingdom's capital and the citizens seem helpless in face of this unknown danger. One hero after another set out on the mission, but to no avail. Could young players unravel the mystery of the Cold? Will the people of the Kingdom be able to stand up to it? 


The game is set in the world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Players see it through the eyes of young citizens of the Kingdom whose lives are disrupted by the approaching mysterious catastrophe. Through a series of adventures they will learn about social, psychological and economic consequences of the crisis. They will understand more about the nature of the Great Cold. More importantly, the game will offer a gamut of strategies allowing to cope with stress and uncertainty. Player’s success depends on the ability to cooperate, showing solidarity and building relationships with others.

 


Players will find out: 

  • how to deal with different emergencies
  • where to look for information and verify them
  • how we to help each other
  • what is war and other threats
  • what is cooperation and how to strengthen it
  • how to deal with interpersonal conflict
  • how to deal with cultural differences

 


We are planning to create main scenario of the game, record it, add background music and upload it to special, open website. We do plan to create various language versions: ukrainian, polish and english. If we'll gather more funds we'll be able to create more language versions.


Who are we?


We’re the group of educators, filmmakers and sound specialists experienced in games development and various implementations of gamification. But mostly we’re parents and citizens concerned about the biggest crisis in Europe since World War II.
