Święta to taki niezwykły czas w roku, kiedy ludzie z radością chcą się wzajemnie obdarowywać. Wierzymy, że najpiękniejszym prezentem, który może ofiarować jeden człowiek drugiemu, jest nawet prosty, gest dobroci. Okazywanie sobie dobra jest jak taka pozytywna "choroba" - przenosi się dalej :)

W tym roku, szczególnie chcemy to dobro wylać na pewien dom pełen niezwykłych młodych ludzi - dom dziecka "Słoneczne Wzgórze" we Fromborku. To miejsce pełne pięknych, mądrych, dobrych i utalentowanych dzieciaków, którym chcemy pomóc doświadczyć trochę lepszych okoliczności życia, niż dotychczas je spotykały. 

Chcielibyśmy zaprosić Was do naszej akcji pomocy tym dzieciakom. 

Grupa wolontariuszy z chóru Siennna Gospel Choir (będącego agendą kościoła) od wielu lat zaangażowana jest w pomoc dzieciom ze Słonecznego Wzgórza. Organizujemy tam warsztaty artystyczne, letnie obozy oraz Świąteczne eventy. Co roku dzieci piszą listy i co roku staramy się ze wszystkich sił, aby ich marzenia zostały spełnione. Często życzenia dzieci są tak proste, jak nowe buty, ciepłe ubrania, zabawki czy misie do przytulania. 

W tym roku chcemy odpowiedzieć na ich większe potrzeby, jak ta, aby zmienić wnętrze ich skromnego budynku w którym otaczają je niewyremontowane pokoje, stare meble i ściany wołające o odmalowanie. Chcemy zebrać środki finansowe, aby stworzyć ciepły i przytulny dom, szczególnie w okresie nadchodzącej zimy.

Chcielibyśmy, aby dom dziecka był jak najcieplejszy i najprzytulniejszy jak się tylko da - z udekorowaniem kolorowymi dywanami, nowymi firankami, poduchami, kocykami i nowymi kolorami na ścianach, jak również dekoracjami, obrazami i ich osobistymi zdjęciami ze wspólnymi wspomnieniami, które tworzą na codzień. 

Wszystkie zebrane środki zostaną wykorzystane do wsparcia renowacji i udekorowania pokoi. 20-go grudnia, nasz zespół Świętego Mikołaja wybierze się do Fromborka, aby rozdać dzieciom prezenty, razem z nimi robić pierniczki, grać w gry i nakreślić projekt zmiany wnętrza budynku. 

Do tej zmiany potrzebujemy pomocy. Zapraszamy Cię, abyś był aktywną częścią naszego zespołu i pomógł nam zmienić ten szczególny Dom.

Hello World, 

What makes Christmas so special? We believe the answer to this is making others feel loved through sharing kindness, joy and laughter. There’s a very special place full of very special people who are all very dear to us. It is a place full of beautiful, smart, kind and simply amazing children; this place is the Sunny Hill orphanage in Frombork, Poland. 

Would you help us to make this Christmas time a truly magical time for all the children living at the Orphanage? 

Sienna Church (located in Warsaw, Poland), works as a charity organisation who have been involved with helping the orphanage for 6 consecutive years now. We have organised several art workshops, summer camps, and each year we arrange the Christmas charity event. Part of this event is responding to the children’s letters to Santa in which they tell their dreams - and we make these happen for them! These dreams can be the simplest of requests such as having new shoes, warm clothes, toys or just even a teddy bear. 

This year we also want to respond to their greater desires and needs and help them decorate their modest building. We want to make the orphanage look and feel more like a real home - with colourful carpets, fresh curtains, pillows, blankets, paintings on the walls, and also photo frames so the children can fill them with happy memories they make together.

There are several rooms that need attention, and as the number of children at the Orphanage increases so does the need to invest in making the building. We need to gather finances to make them as warm and cosy as we can - especially for the upcoming cold Winter period. 

All of the funds gathered will be used to renovate and decorate all spaces. On the 20th of December, the 'Santa's Team' will go to Frombork to make gingerbread cookies, play games, give presents and make plans and projects for the transformation of the rooms. 

We would love for YOU to be a part of our team and actively change the lives of the children.

Please note, that because the charity is held in Poland we can only gather funds in polish Zloty. If you wish to make a donation from UK, the current rate is 1 Pound = 5 Zloty; 1 Zloty = 0,2 Pound (approximately). We are sorry for the inconvenience.
