Imagine the absolutely surreal experience of packing under the threat of extreme violence, burdened with the fear of not knowing which road you’ll be forced to take in order to save your life. Knowing that someone waits for you at the end of this road is the one thing that might allow you to focus on solving immediate problems so that you can get to safety.

Let’s show our humanity and solidarity with those in need. Extreme evil can only be countered with extreme kindness. This is the great war of our times and future generations will hold us accountable for the amount of help we provide.
