Description
Do you know what is neurofibromatosis type I, also known as Recklinghausen’s Disease? It is a genetic disease that accompanies a patient trough entire life. The only way of cure is symptomatic treatment, what means treating only results, not cause of the disease. It requires a lot of time and money, because people affected with NF1 need regular doctor visits, rehabilitation, psychological help, etc.
7-year old Karol from Kłodzko (Poland) bravely fights with that disease, but several months ago his Mother Ewa died and left him only with grandma, who takes care of him now. Grandma dedicates herself to him and spends everyday with her grandson, taking him to swimming pool, rehabilitation, doctor visits, compensatory lessons… ☹
This year’s Christmas will be the saddest in Karol’s life, because first time he wouldn’t be able to celebrate them with his Mother.
Their family needs some help, Karol’s granma hasn’t got any car and their flat requires some renovation – electric installation and floors need to be replaced.
Any amount of money will be appreciated!
