Shelter for Homeless Animals in Celestynów takes in the most disadvantaged dogs, the discarded, the crippled, the injured and also after the death of their guardians, ensuring their safety and nourishment. 

The guiding principle of the shelter is the welfare of animals and ensuring them decent living conditions. The shelter has a thriving volunteer force that provides Saturday walks for dogs. Volunteers take part in the adoption and socialisation of dogs. They pay special attention to adopting animals and finding them a safe haven with a loving carer after difficult experiences. The health of shelter's pupils is supervised by three veterinary surgeons, who have a doctor's surgery, an operating theatre and a recovery room at the shelter. The shelter has been promoting the sterilisation and spaying and neutering of animals for years, preventing the spread of homelessness in the adjacent municipalities.

The shelter is sustained by the generosity of donors and community collections. 

Currently the shelter houses: 84 dogs and 11 cats.
