Pilnie potrzebujemy Waszej pomocy. Każda złotówka się liczy! Nasza kotka Dinka ma dopiero 8 miesięcy. Niedawno zdiagnozowano u niej FIP, czyli zakaźne zapalenie otrzewnej (z ang. Feline Infectious Peritonitis). U niej choroba przybrała postać suchą, z objawami takimi jak żółtaczka, zapalenie wątroby, spadek energii, brak apetytu i poważna anemia. To choroba śmiertelna, której w Polsce się nie leczy. Jej jedyną szansą jest eksperymentalny lek o nazwie Mutian, który niestety trzeba ściągać zza granicy. Wiąże się to z ogromnymi kosztami, ponieważ jedna fiolka (5ml) kosztuje ok. 1500 złotych. Kuracja trwa 84 dni i jej aktualna dawka to 0.8ml dziennie. Udało nam się sprowadzić fiolkę i kotka dostaje zastrzyki od 11.03. Od tego czasu spadła jej gorączka, odzyskała trochę energii i częściowo wrócił jej apetyt. Kicia ma jeszcze całe życie w kochającym domu przed sobą.

We are in desperate need of your help. Our beloved kitty Dinka is only 8 months old. A couple of days ago, she was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). In her case, the disease manifested in a dry form, which means there is no fluid accomodation in her abdominal cavity. Her symptoms are jaundice, hepatitis, lethargy, loss of appetite and anemia. FIP is a fatal disease, and remains to be untreatable in Poland. There is, however, an experimental treatment with a drug called Mutian, which has to be brought in from China where it is legal. The treatment is very expensive, as it costs 356 euro per vial (5ml). With a treatment period of 84 days, and her daily dose being 0.8ml a day, she will need at least 12 vials to complete it. We have managed to get the first vial on march 11 and, ever since, her fever has gone down, she regained her appetite and some of the energy. This little warrior still has her whole life in a loving home ahead of her, but she cannot win this fight by herself.
