The Carmel Dog Foundation is a non-profit organization, which has set as its goal, first and foremost, the rescue of animals that have not had a chance to see what human love is, for they have learned all too well the taste of pain and suffering. At the foundation begins the next, much more beautiful stage of their lives. They rescue the dogs, treat them, take care of them, run temporary homes, until finally they give the animals up for adoption and find them a permanent home full of warmth, goodness and love.

The foundation was founded by respected photographer and songwriter Michal Gromada, and Carmel appearing in its name is Michal's dog - a dog who was also harmed by man in the past and then happily rescued. If you think that the foundation is run by some people, nothing could be further from the truth. The only real head of the foundation is actually Carmel! And Carmel very much wants his furriends in need to meet the same luck that happened to him. Carmel keeps an eye on all our wards - one, because he can't see the other, nevertheless he vigilantly looks after the new rescued dogs that come to the foundation.

The foundation is sustained by the generosity of donors and community collections.
