Description
Julia is a completely dependent person - she suffers from schizophrenia, advanced diabetes, and has recently been treated oncologically for breast cancer. She is looked after by her sister - Mrs. Maria. They live together in a tiny house with no bathroom or kitchen. Mrs. Maria devotes all her attention to caring for her sister by organizing her visits to doctors, shopping, cooking and cleaning. The family has always struggled with the problem of poverty. As long as Mrs. Maria's husband was alive and Mrs. Julia's diseases were less advanced, the family maintained financial liquidity by living very modestly and running a small farm. The winter season is the most difficult for women because it shows how little financial resources the family has. The family income is PLN 2669, after deducting the cost of living (PLN 1360), the family remains PLN 650 per one member. Family needs are very simple: coal, duvet, shoes and food. As a special gift Julia would like to get a warm blanket and Maria dreams of a nice fleece.
