Hey, we are Mary and Vicky, Cadet class sailors from Wroclaw, Poland from the UKS Sailing Club. We are 16 and 12 years old and have been making up one crew for 1,5 years. The Cadet class is a two-person, three-sail class for children and young people up to the age of 17. Sailing has been our hobby and passion for years, and we devote most of our free time to training and competitions. 

We form a close-knit team, and our dream is to take part in this year's Cadet’s World Championships in Plymouth, UK.

This is an amazing adventure for every sailor, and we have been given this opportunity, thanks to our nomination to represent Poland!!!

We get to gain both wonderful experience on the water and wonderful memories and friendships for years to come. We have never had the opportunity to take part in such an event before, which makes us very excited.

However, we are not sure if we will be able to go, due to the very high costs of the whole trip, which my parents and I are not able to completely cover.

The big costs are related, for example, to accommodation, food, transport of the boats - ours and our teammates and the safety boat, insurance, fees for the competition itself and many other smaller, but important, expenses.

All this adds up to an amount that is hard to cover on the individual basis.

The trip is planned for 24.07-11.08, which is the time needed to get there, train and take part in the Cadet UK National Championships and the Cadet World Championship.

We are very keen to see our plans succeed and to make our dreams come true. We would be incredibly grateful for any help and support.

Hej, jesteśmy Mary i Vicky, żeglarki klasy Cadet z Wrocławia z klubu UKS Żeglarz. Mamy 16 i 12 lat i od 1.5 roku tworzymy jedną załogę. Klasa Cadet jest dwuosobowa i trzyżaglowa, przeznaczona dla dzieci i młodzieży do 17 roku życia. Żeglarstwo od lat jest naszym hobby i pasją, przeznaczamy na treningi i zawody większość czasu wolnego.

Tworzymy zgrany team, a naszym marzeniem jest wzięcie udziału w tegorocznych Mistrzostwach Świata w Plymouth w Wielkiej Brytanii.

Są one niesamowitą przygodą dla każdego żeglarza, a my dostałyśmy taką możliwość, dzięki nominacji do Kadry Narodowej !!!

Do zdobycia mamy zarówno ogromne doświadczenie na wodzie, jak i cudowne wspomnienia oraz znajomości na lata. Jeszcze nigdy nie miałyśmy okazji wziąć udziału w takim wydarzeniu, co sprawia, że jesteśmy bardzo podekscytowane.

Nie mamy jednak pewności, czy będziemy mogły pojechać, ze względu na bardzo wysokie koszty całego wyjazdu, których z rodzicami nie jesteśmy w stanie całkowicie pokryć.

Duże koszty związane są na przykład z noclegami, wyżywieniem, transportem łódek - naszej oraz kolegów z drużyny i motorówki asekuracyjnej,  ubezpieczeniami, opłatami za sam udział w zawodach i wieloma innymi mniejszymi, lecz ważnymi, wydatkami.

To wszystko składa się na kwotę ciężką do pokrycia indywidualnie.

Wyjazd planowany jest w dniach 24.07-11.08, czyli czasie koniecznym na dojazd, trening, Mistrzostwa Anglii, Mistrzostwa Świata oraz powrót.

Bardzo zależy nam, by plany się powiodły, a marzenia spełniły. Będziemy niesamowicie wdzięczne za wszelką pomoc i wsparcie.
