This year we celebrate the National Children's Day as an occasion to join forces as MSTR Gives team and support the initiative of the PAY IT FORWARD Foundation - a fundraising for Little Explorers’ Summer Camp.
We decided to support children with disabilities this time, based on the results of the last survey which revealed that animals and children in need are the dearest to your heart!
In Poland there are only few summer camps for children with disabilities. They do want to spend their time just like their able peers. The PAY IT FORWARD Foundation’s aim is to organize such camps even for children with severe disabilities. They provide great fun and a lot of exciting and engaging activities for them instead of dull, traditional rehabilitation. Throughout couple of days of the summer camps, kids have an opportunity to learn self-dependence. For most of them it is the first adventure without parents. In 2023, PAY IT FORWARD Foundation organizes 2 summer camps for 60 children with disabilities. First camp consists of artistic workshops and is intended for mentally disabled kids. Multiple art therapy techniques are used during the camp. Second one is focused on children with locomotor disability, who mainly use wheelchairs. Here they put emphasis on physical activity, sport, dance and outdoor activities. In adult life they will be able to use the skills they learned during the holiday camps and will help them making bolder and more confident steps.
