Witaj! Mam na imię Alicja. Pod koniec czerwca kończę 30 lat. Urodziłam się z rozszczepem kręgosłupa i przepukliną oponowo-rdzeniową. Przez pierwsze dziewiętnaście lat radziłam sobie całkiem nieźle! Samodzielnie chodziłam, zdałam maturę, skończyłam studia licencjackie, pomieszkiwałam w Warszawie.

Niestety, kilka lat temu mój stan zdrowia się pogorszył - od tamtej pory korzystam z wózka. W zeszłym roku mój stan pogorszył się jeszcze bardziej - nadal jestem w trakcie procesu diagnostycznego. Na razie nie wiadomo na 100%, co mi jest. Tak czy inaczej, większość czynności, których wykonywanie przychodziło mi kiedyś z łatwością, teraz jest dla mnie bardzo trudne lub całkiem niemożliwe. Potrzebuję pomocy osób trzecich aby się ubrać, wziąć prysznic czy usiąść na toalecie.

W zeszłym tygodniu - objawienie! Byłam na teście Exopulse Molli Suit - kombinezonu do elektrostymulacji układu nerwowego. Po godzinie spędzonej w kombinezonie byłam w szoku - nagle z łatwością i lekkością, której bardzo dawno nie czułam mogłam lepiej się ruszać. Hi! My name is Alicja. By the end of June this year I turn 30. I was born with spina bifida and myelomeningocele. During the first 19 years of my life I was doing fine, all things considered! I was able to walk on my own, I passed my maturity exams, got my bachelor's degree while living in Warsaw part-time.

Unfortunately few years ago my health deteriorated - I have been using a wheelchair since then. Last year my healthdeteriorated even more - I am still looking for a diagnosis. For now the exact cause of my current condition is unknown. Anyway most things that I used to be able to do with ease are difficult or downright impossible for me to do. I need assistance while dressing up, taking a shower or sitting down on the toilet.

Last week - eureka! I attended a test of the Exopulse Mollii Suit - it is a device meant to stimulate the nervous system. After just one hour of wearing the suit I was in shock - suddenly I could move my body with ease I haven't felt in a very long time. The effect of one hour of stimulation lasts 48 hours. Bonjour! Je m'appelle Alicja. Je vais avoir 30 ans fin juin. Je suis née avec un spina bifida et une myéloméningocèle (la rupture et l’hernie de la colonne vertébrale). Je me suis plutôt bien débrouillée pendant mes premières dix-neuf années! J'ai marché de manière indépendante, j'ai passé mon bac, fini des études supérieures et j'ai habité à Varsovie. Malheureusement, il y a quelques années ma santé s'est gravement dégradée - depuis, j'utilise un fauteuil roulant.

L'année dernière, mon état s'est encore aggravé. Pour l'instant, le diagnostic n’est pas encore certain à 100%, les médecins sont toujours en train de chercher. Quoi qu’il en soit, la plupart des choses que je trouvais faciles sont devenues très difficiles, voire complètement impossibles pour moi. J'ai besoin d'accompagnement pour m'habiller, prendre une douche ou m'asseoir sur les toilettes.

La semaine dernière, un nouvel espoir! J'ai été testée sur l'Exopulse Molli Suit - une combinaison pour l'électrostimulation du système nerveux. Le résultat m’a choquée: tout à coup, après une heure dans cette combinaison, je pouvais bouger avec une aisance et une légèreté que je n'avais pas ressenties depuis longtemps.
