We're gathering funds to purchase following items marked as most urgent by the family:

• Two sofa beds to replace the current ones that are sunken, torn and damaged
• PVC floor covering to replace the damaged and torn flooring
• Bedding, pillows and duvets to replace the old and worn out bedding
• A microwave
• A juicer

About the family we're supporting this year:

Mrs. Barbara is a single mother who faces extraordinary challenges raising her three children, Olaf, Hania, and Adrian. Her husband, the children's father, is deceased. All three children are on the autism spectrum with Asperger's syndrome. Hania's challenges are further complicated by Pica syndrome and schizophrenia, which can lead to aggressive behavior towards herself and others. Olaf, the eldest, experiences significant social withdrawal. Adrian, the youngest, suffers from episodes of muscle paralysis that can be frightening and dangerous.

Despite these immense difficulties, Mrs.Barbara remains dedicated to her children's care. Their needs are so demanding that she often has to focus on them individually, leading her to neglect her own health. She suffers from hernias, untreated periodontitis, and arachnoid cysts. Finding appropriate care for her children is nearly impossible, as their complex behaviors and needs make it unsafe to leave them with others who are not fully aware of the potential dangers.

Though faced with overwhelming adversity, Mrs. Barbara demonstrates remarkable resilience. She has persevered through the loss of her husband and the constant demands of caring for her children. She maintains hope for a brighter future, believing that things will improve for her and her children.
