Mrs. Bożena is blind. A few years ago, hoping to improve her health, she decided to undergo glaucoma surgery. Unfortunately, after the surgery, she gradually lost sight in one eye, and for 3 years she has not seen at all. In the meantime, the woman lost her husband. Mrs. Bożena also suffers from diabetes and hypertension. Now he can only count on his son, who helps his mother as much as he can because he has health problems himself. Additionally, a carer from MOPS comes to Mrs. Bożena twice a week and the women get along very well. Mrs. Bożena was a seamstress by profession and she really liked sewing, it gave her great satisfaction.

Mrs. Bożena's every day looks the same. The woman has a friendly neighbor who will come over sometimes, keep company and talk. Mrs. Bożena has a hard time finding her way in her apartment. Sometimes, when she walks around the apartment, she hits or falls. The woman couldn't cope without the help of another person, she is grateful to her son for helping her as much as he can despite his problems with walking and running his own household. Mrs. Bożena dreams of regaining her sight, but unfortunately it is impossible. The woman lives on her deceased husband's pension and allowances in the amount of PLN 2,510; after deducting the costs of maintaining the apartment and purchasing medicines (PLN 1,320), she has PLN 1,190 left.
