The Heart for Animals Foundation is a charitable organization created in April 2014 out of a need in the hearts of people, who had regularly been coming together to help homeless and hurt animals from the district. In the words of Foundation volunteers: "Many years of working with homeless animals, lots of experiences - both good and bad - volunteering in shelters, working with foundations and clinics, our friendship, great passion and heart for animals inspired us to create the foundation of our dreams."

Their motto is: "It's not how much you own that counts, but how much you give to others and how you share it with them."

The aims of the foundation are:

1. Providing assistance to stray sick, suffering and abandoned animals;

2. Adoption activities (finding new homes for animals);

3. All activities in the field of combating animal homelessness, in particular by promoting knowledge of ways to reduce the animal population and implementing a sterilization and castration programme;

4. Combating manifestations of animal abuse;

5. Activities for the humane treatment of animals;

6. Dissemination and protection of animal rights;

7. Promoting in society the idea of protecting animals, the environment in accordance with current legislation and disseminating information, methods and techniques in the field of animal rights activities;

8. Assisting establishments and individuals serving homeless animals, cooperating with establishments and individuals providing assistance to homeless animals;

9. Promoting and organizing voluntary work;

10. Educational meetings with children and young people promoting responsible handling of animals;

11. Initiating and supporting innovative solutions in the protection and care of animal rights.
