Danyil Lukashchuk, the son of our colleague Andrei Lukashchuk died in the war in Ukraine. He was only 26 years old. He volunteered in February 2022. Andrey still has two younger sons. We are collecting money to help Andrei's family.

Danyil Lukashchuk (October 8, 1997-May 11, 2024) from Lviv.

He studied at the Lviv Physical and Mathematical Boarding Lyceum at the Ivan Franko Lviv National University. Later, he entered the Mechanical and Mathematical Faculty of LNU named after Ivan Franko. He also graduated from the Oleksa Novakivskyi Lviv Art School.

After completing his studies, he worked as a system administrator in a number of enterprises in the city of Lviv. He was an avid fan of the "Karpaty" football club, loved cars and cycling. According to his relatives, he was extremely "honest, kind and uncompromising".

At the end of February 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland from the Russian invaders. Since 2023, he performed combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state in the eastern direction as part of the 420th rifle battalion. Subsequently, he fought with the occupiers in the ranks of the 14th separate regiment of unmanned aviation complexes of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For personal courage, he was awarded the "Golden Cross" medal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
