Iwona with family

Iwona – mother: 40 years -old

Izabela – daughter: 18 years–old

Katarzyna – daughter: 14 years–old

Agnieszka – daughter: 12 years–old

Aleksandra – daughter: 6 years–old

The family’s story 

Two months ago, there was no sight that the family’s life will change radically. Iwona was taking care of her children and house. She was occasionally working with her husband in his company. The family was able to cover their current needs as well as make small savings. Suddenly, the whole life of family was ruined – the life that Iwona was building for over 20 years. Iwona’s husband has left their family for another woman and left them without incomes. Family’s savings that Iwona had, ran out quickly and currently, the only financial income of Iwona’s family are the social benefits and alimony (total amount - 3 377 PLN). After the coverage of household fees, house credit and the kindergarten fees, the family income per person is 331 PLN.

The family’s beauty  

Iwona is a brave, mature and responsible woman. Her children mean everything to her. She is unusually strong person. She would like to give her daughters a happy and lovely home. The family members are very close to one another. The girls are supporting their mother however they can, e.g. the household duties – especially the older ones – Izabela and Katarzyna. Iwona is planning to complete her studies to assure a worthy life to her family. All the daughters have no difficulties at school.  Aleksandra is a little family’s sweetheart, who loves to draw. Izabela loves history and has plans to study on the faculty of history. Katarzyna is a huge fan of fantasy books and Agnieszka is very interested in cosmetology. Since many years, Iwona as well as her daughters are involved in the local charity events.

3 main family’s needs.

1. 1 ton of coal – in the current situation it is very difficult to save money for the heating.

2. Food with a long expiration date – food supplies will allow to save some money.

3. Cleaning products – expenses for cleaning products considerably take up family’s budget.

Food with long expiration date: tea / coffee / rice / groats / noodle / flour / sugar / oil / jam / canned meat / canned fish / canned fruits and vegetables

Cleaning products: washing powder / fabric conditioner / dish soap / cleaning products / soap / cleaning gel / shampoo / toothpaste / toothbrush

Footwear: winter shoes for Aleksandra: size 27 / pink

School supplies: crayons / glue / writing paper / colored paper  / paints / plasticine

Furnishing: towels / baths towels / kettle for a gas stove

Electronic devices: laptop – in the family there is only one laptop. Remote learning is difficult as three of the girls need to share it for home schooling

Special wishes: Iwona – chocolate / Katarzyna – fantasy book (on of the listed on the picture) / Aleksandra – a Barbie doll / Izabela – nail polish / Agnieszka – face mask
