Description

Hello Nethoners!

I think all of you will agree with us that Christmas is a special time. A time filled with many different emotions, getting together with family and remembering others, including those who are in need. And this great need is sometimes very close to us.

We would like to organise a Christmas charity initiative among our Nethoners community. The funds raised will be donated to two families of our employees living in Ukraine. These families are not only in need themselves, but are also committed to helping others.

Let's get to know them:

Lidiia’s Family:

“There are 6 people in the family, including 2 children aged 2 and 5. Their house is located in the Sumy region of Ukraine. They are constantly being shelled and bombarded by the Russian side on civilians and critical objects, which forces them to stay out without electricity, heating, and water for 3-5 days at a time. The purpose of the donation is to help them to collect for agregat prądotwórczy (power generator). This would help to stabilise the situation, heat the house and maintain other parts of the house so they could be okay for a winter season.”

Paweł’s family:

„Six years ago, we built a conference center in Orlivka, Ukraine (Rivne region) to hold Christian conferences. It has a conference room, kitchen and dining room, bathrooms and large shared bedrooms with double bunk beds (each room with capacity to accommodate 38 people).

When the war in Ukraine started, a lot of people from different parts of the country found refuge in our center. Over time, many of them moved abroad to Poland, Germany and other countries or returned back home. However, some of them decided to remain in our center. Currently we give hospitality to over 45 refugees, including several families with one or more children and individuals. They come from Mariupol, Kyiv, Chuguev, Kharkov and Donetsk regions.

Due to the fact that the bedrooms in the conference center are large shared spaces, the people we help have to live like in a hostel - women and men separately on different floors. That’s why we made a decision to build smaller apartments on the second floor of the other building located on our land (visible in the photo) so that they could live with more privacy together with their families in smaller, separate rooms and apartments.

As this construction requires many resources, we would like to ask you for support. The collected funds will help us to purchase the necessary materials and furniture to equip two apartments in the new building. These apartments will become a new home for two families with children who had to leave their own homes because of war.”

What is our goal?: PLN 4,000

We highly encourage you to get engaged!

As an added incentive, all funds raised by our employees will be doubled by Nethone! <3

How will the funds be divided?

Due to the sizes of the families and the differences in the scale of their needs and their actions, the funds will be divided as follows:

  • Assuming the goal is reached or more is collected: PLN 2000 for Lidiia's family and PLN 2000 + for Paweł's family;
  • Collecting less than PLN 4000: equal division by half.

How can I transfer money?

  • For non-Polish speakers, there is an option to change the language on the website;)
  • There is no problem with transfers in other currencies;)
  • Attention! - Due to tax issues - each individual can donate a maximum of 4902 PLN to the given bank account within 5 years. More information here

When does the fund-raiser end? - 14.12.2022
