DIOZ (Lower-silesian Inspectorate for Animal Protection) is a charity that brings together a community of people who believe in the value of every life and take action to protect and support those creatures unable to fend for themselves. They want to create a better world for animals and inspire others to join the fight for their rights and welfare. They function solely through donations. 

Every day they come face to face with abusers and take away harmed animals from them! They rescue victims of human cruelty: animals in tragic condition, starving, sick, dying. They provide life-saving operations and treatment to the rescued creatures.

They are looking for good homes for animals that have been harmed, unwanted, old, disabled, chronically ill. Animals that cannot find a home live in the 7-hectare DIOZ centre under the guidance of volunteers and vets!

They have over 200 regular furry residents in the two centres they run. They care for dogs, cats, rabbits, raccoons, goats, sheep, horses, cows, owls, geese, chickens, parrots and many other species of animals.
